Midnight in Paris

So tonight I watch "Midnight in Paris", the Woody Allen movie. I brought it because I'm a big fan of Owen Wilson (and Tom Hiddleston and Adrien Brody even though they aren't in it much and Hiddleston wasn't even on the box) so the movie stood out for me.

Fairy Tail Anime Reviews

I am in the process of writing up my Fairy Tail reviews from the last couple episodes of Fairy Tail. I'll probably write them all tonight then schedule them to publish themselves over the next few days. I believe this week will be the last episode so wanted them up to date before then (or else last week was the last episode and this will not matter at all....)

Neverwhere : The Angel Islington

Last episode Richard, Door and Hunter were told how to reach the Angel Islington by the Earl. Marquis looks like he has betrayed his group to Croup and Vandermar, and there is some sort of curse that stops Hunter from leaving London Below.

Richard and Door are in the British Museum looking for a picture of an angel so that they can locate the angel Islington. Unfortunately they walk into a room full of pictures of angels. Do they find the one they need?

Ignorant People Disease updated

So the other day I wrote a blog about a girl and her mother who have made Kai's (the guy who is living with us at the moment) life a living hell.

It gets worse.

Clarification on my opinion of the RBR Team Orders

So with people trying to make out anyone who had a problem with Seb's attitude on Sunday is a hypocrite I want to clarify my stance.

I don't give a toss about team orders. I think it is a team sport and if you can help your team mate you should. AT THE SAME TIME I don't think team orders should be there at the beginning of the season when BOTH drivers are able to win the title. The emphesis should always be on getting both drivers to the championship UNLESS it is written in their contract.

Of course I have the utmost respect for any driver who disobeys team orders, I have no respect for a driver who takes a team order then moans about it post-race and gets their team into trouble *cough*Massa*cough*...

Now my problem with Vettel wasn't that he disobeyed a team order (which would be hypocritical I fully admit) and it isn't about team orders in general either. It is all about respect.

I will give Vettel the benefit of the doubt that he could have misheard, he might not have understood or whatever.

In my view he got a call that he knew would mean Webber was on the back foot and then after not being able to get past Webber when they were on equal footing ("He's much slower than me" strop) he took that opportunity to overtake Webber when he had the upper ground.

That isn't just disobeying a team order, that is showing a total lack of respect to Webber who has in the past helped Vettel in the race when he's been out of the championship picture.

People say that is the ruthlessness that a 3x World Champion needs. Maybe so. But I'd rather have a straight team order (Mercedes even though it pissed me off the way they spoke to Nico) then one driver taking advantage of a team order but ignoring them when they go against them in a disrespectful manner.

So to conclude...

Disobey team orders all you like, but at least do it when it is needed. Don't be an ass and when you know the team has put your team mate at a disadvantage use that as a reason to overtake them. THAT isn't racing, it isn't even in my opinion disobeying a team order the way we mean it to be its being a jackass for no reason. And I'd feel the same if it was any other driver.

(Example Alonso is the biggest jackass on the grid most races and he's my favorite driver)

Neverwhere : Earls Court

Last episode Richard, Door, the Marquis and Hunter set out on their way to find the Angel Islington. In the streets of London Below Richard Mayhew was on the journey of his life not quite sure what to believe and probably confused out of his mind after being introduced to the weird and wonderfully magical world of the people around him.

What will happen next to the group and do they find Islington?

***SPOILERS***

Neverwhere : London Below

So Radio 4 has an adaptation of Neil Gaimans Neverwhere being played at the moment.

The lead character Richard Meyhew stops on his way to dinner with his girlfriend to help an injured girl in the middle of the road. This one act of kindness sends him on his way to an adventure into London Below.

50th Anniversary Expectations (Moffat will never win)

So filming for the 50th anniversary hasn't started yet. But that hasn't stopped expectations (and speculation) on the episode to go into overdrive. Some people have already made their perfect episode in their head and decided that if that isn't the mold that the episode actually fits then they'll go as far as complain to the BBC.

Yes I really mean that, someone said if they don't have the 11 Doctors they will complain to the BBC.

Ignorant people disease

In this day and age you'd hope people would just start to accept other people.

At the moment we have a guy called Kai living with us. He is transgender, going through the operations and everything to become a man, he has his papers and birth certificate all changed and legally is a man.

But for some reason he is being bullied by some ignorant teenage girl and now her mother!

In my opinion the mother should be forced to go and spend time with transgender people. Really I believe that she should be arrested and her child, the disgusting piece of filth that she is, should... Well I don't know, maybe put in a room were everyone can tear into her and her life! How would she like it to live under a microscope and be abused for things she probably hasn't done.

Thing is Kai doesn't really look like a female or a male, he's in between at the moment. So how they even KNOW he's transgender is beyond me, but even if you have a problem why would you follow someone around and make their lives a living hell?!

Disgusting people.

This is about the 4th time we've had to phone the police on these people, something needs to be done.

Team Order debate..... Again

I haven't seen the race yet but as I've read the news I thought I'd write a piece on this.

So apparently today Webber and Vettel were allowed to race each other until after the last pit stops. Mark and Sebastian were then told to turn their engines down, a command that Mark obeyed but Vettel.... Might have? I don't know did he turn his engine down? The point is after that which was a clear order to keep their positions Vettel then over took Mark Webber.

Not only that but apparently (though I haven't read about this one) Lewis Hamilton got a podium at the expense of Nico Rosberg who was given a team order (possibly more on this in the race review blog.)

Now I have no problem with team orders to win a championship, I have no problems with team orders at all. In my opinion it is up to the driver to do it or not, if you don't want to give up your place then fucking man up and take it like a man.

What I don't like is when someone will be on one side of a team order, or will happily let their team mate "help" them in a race but won't do it the other way round.

Now I don't know if Vettel really made a mistake or whether he knew or not that Webber had also been told to slow down but if he DID then I don't blame people for being pissed! Webber might not like it and might not take it sitting down very often but he has been a good team mate when it has counted. To be honest I don't see Vettel as a good team mate and not just because he's "arrogant" or anything like that (else I wouldn't be a Alonso fan) but he just seems to want to make Webber out to be terrible and I don't think Webber should have to deal with it.

At the end of the day though Webber has the right to be angry, this isn't the last time I'm sure I've heard RBR to tell Webber to turn his engine down and Vettel has overtaken him. One way or the other to Mark this will probably be a team order in Vettels favor.

I'm not making my mind up till I watch it but everyone needs to calm down about it.

The British Uprising

So I was asked today about my view on the "take over" by British stars.

In other words Benendict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith and at times James McAvoy... Amongst a few others.

To be honest in my view it is very easy.

They are normal, down to earth, friendly, handsome, well spoken men. Add to that when they do get massive they are actually really shocked to think that they'd have fans as devoted and in love with them as we all are.

PLUS possibly the biggest plus is that they are all BRILLIANT actors. And I say that as someone who has only ever seen one thing with David Tennant in that I liked!

What isn't there to like?

Personally. Well I don't like Tennant much myself and am indifferent to McAvoy, I'd also exclude Matt because even though I like him his boom in America is purely for Doctor Who and even though I've seen a few bits here in the UK (on the BBC) that he has been in I don't know whether he'll "burst" into this scene like the others have.

So Benedict and Tom...

***DISCLAIMER : That is the major part of the blog all done and dusted up there ^__^ what happens down here V--V is basically me telling you why I personally think Benedict and Tom are wonderful making it worldwide. The Evil FIA and their horrible rain tactics....

I love the title of this blog so much I think I should repeat it... In captials, Italic'd and bolded....

THE EVIL FIA AND THEIR HORRIBLE RAIN TACTICS

Yeah I feel special...

Seriously, I couldn't think of a better name, after the "outcry" and stupidity online (well twitter) after the FIA cancelled qualifying for the Australian GP because of rain and poor visibility. I mean it was as pathetic as the name of my blog (a blog complaining about complainers as NoR would say, and no I won't tell you what NoR mean.)

My opinion?

Short and sweet.

The FIA's job is to keep the drivers safe.

Yes these are the best drivers in the world and they should be able to handle tough circumstances but we weren't there. We didn't see properly what the conditions or visibility was like. I've seen "a little bit of rain" on the TV and then seen photos of these "little bits of rain" which don't look at all the same. Not this weekend, I'm talking about other weekends.

I'm the first to get upset when something gets cancelled because of rain, I'll admit that totally, but to be honest I'd much rather the FIA said no and no one got hurt then the FIA said "what the shit let them race" and someone gets hurt.

Some of the people moaning about the FIA cancelling the session would be the first to blame the FIA if people got hurt....

Why am I saying FIA? Isn't it technically the stewards that decide this?

Either way my point still stands.

You can't have it both ways, if I was in charge of the safety of someone else yeah I'd be over cautious especially if that person had a dangerous job to begin with. No amounts of money being paid to anyone would change my opinion on that. It doesn't make the drivers any less of a driver to say they don't want to go out in it, or if they had their mind made up for them. It doesn't make the stewards/FIA bad guys. It means someone gives a shit about someone else's life.

Good on them!

Lets not let that little fact get in the way of The Evil FIA now...

My undying support of Rammstein

When I was growing up I was really into music, not any particular type of music, just music in general. I'd spend weekends sat downstairs flicking between all the music channels. There were always a few bands that I totally adored no matter what they did those were Rammstein, Take That and Weezer.

From hard German rock music, to English pop all the way through to American Geek Rock. But it is just proof that I have never really liked a certain genre I've always just liked music.

But the band I'd move the earth for has always been Rammstein.

Taken by me at the beginning of March, Plymouth

Whats to come tomorrow...

I said I'll be writing a blog on something important to me and this is it. I will be writing about Rammstein.

That is my copy of Videos 1995-2012 and my background on my laptop is a photo of Christoph Schneider (one of my favorite members of the band.)

They mean a lot to me and tomorrow when I've finished at work I'll try to put their importance into words.

So we begin...

F1 2013 : Drivers (Likes/Dislikes etc)

So I thought I'd write a blog about the whole of the 2013 F1 grid so you know which drivers I like, and which drivers (if your a fan of them) you might want to never read my F1 blogs unless you are made of stronger stuff!

If I do write something REALLY horrible about any driver in a review it is more likely I am just still getting over something more than really being that hateful... Well all expect for Lewis Hamilton!

I will do a Team blog next!

***DISCLAIMER : If I write a name wrong I apologize  especially with this blog were it'll have all their names so I don't have the time to keep checking it online. I do get used to names though. When Alguersuari joined F1 I had no idea how to write Alguersuari, now I could do it with my eyes closed... Like this Alguersuari (I really did type that with my eyes closed)****

Fairy Tail : The Shadow That Comes and Goes (Manga)

Chapter 323

So last week the Grand Magic games ended (in my opinion with a whimper) and Fairy Tail was victorious!

What is in store next for our family?

***SPOILER***

Overtime Chaos!

So as you can see I haven't blogged much recently.

This is because we still don't have a Assistant Manager at work so I am STILL working overtime.

This coupled with the fact that I am still heartbroken that the anime of Fairy Tail is ending at the end of the month has left me feeling like I don't really want to watch the episodes, drag them on forever and it never really got cancelled.

But don't worry I'll try and catch up this week! I'll have a bumper FT Anime blog to make up for the missing episodes as well as the manga review which should be up before I go bed tonight.

Plus the F1 season has just started, just off to catch up on the race on iPlayer and there will be a blog about that too!

And I will be writing a blog on something that means a lot to me as well.

Thanks for continuing to view my blog! Hope I get it up to date as fast as I can!

Jules Bianchi in F1!

So if people don't know I am a huge fan of Jules Bianchi and have been for a few years now. During the last test before the season starts it was announced that Bianchi would replace Liuz Razia at Marussia after Razia's sponsors failed to pay up in time.

My opinion?

Well obviously I am very happy for Jules to be given this chance. And again it is obvious I feel sorry for Razia. But I do believe some of the hoohaa by fans have been overblown.

For a start Razia himself was a pay driver, hence being let go because his sponsors didn't pay, so why people are saying Bianchi out bid Razia for the seat I don't know. The only big thing Jules brings with him is a possible Ferrari deal, Ferrari don't tend to have useless drivers in their ranks and Jules has worked in their development scheme for ages.

Personally I don't know much about Razia so I can't say I'm that upset that the driver I support (who I believe deserved the Force India drive more than Adrian Sutil) replaced him. No one can deny that Jules is a solid driver who has just as much potential as any other driver.

I think people are too quick to shout off about pay drivers nowadays, its the new flashy word. They act like pay drivers never existed. Unfortunately pay drivers (and back markers) have always existed and will always exist. And back marker teams like Marussia are always going to use them. Heck it isn't even F1 that pay drivers exist, I've used the example of GP2 and Adam Carroll before. He could never really afford a full GP2 season but when he could afford or was used as a replacement for a few races he was always up on the podium or there abouts even if before then the team looked like a dog!

So I do feel for Razia, of course I do! So close yet so far away. Heartbreaking!

But as a fan of Jules I have to say I'm now more excited then ever!

Keeping Busy

I'm so sorry I haven't been on over the week, at the moment we are very short staffed at work so now I'm working every hour under the sun.

I should be back this week with my reviews on the Fairy Tail manga and anime, though after I've finished watching it there should be a review on Broadchurch the new ITV drama written by Chris Chibnall.

And there will probably be another 50th anniversary Doctor Who rant to boot!

Again sorry and we'll be back in business soon.
