The "pain" of Doctor Who fans

So today if you went onto certain Doctor Who forums you'd be forgiven for believing that Steven Moffat has walked into a handful of fans homes, stolen their Christmas trees and shot their dog...

He hasn't. Possibly wouldn't stop them saying he did.

Whats it all about?

As normal patheticness that only fans could come up with!

The Lorax

So The Lorax has came out on DVD, I really wanted to see it in the cinema but with the release of so many films in such a short period of time our cinema kind of didn't show it at times me and my boyfriend could go and watch it, it ended up being shown for a week or so then being demoted to Kids AM for the rest of its run (and that is only on Saturdays I believe.)

So the moment it came out on DVD I brought it....

******SPOILERS PAST THIS POINT FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T WATCHED THE FILM*****

Geekmind Forum

So yeah as I've probably said before, me and my friends have a Geek forum. We'd really appreciate if anyone wanted to join in any new members!

The link is www.geekmind.boards.net .

We talk about all sorts of things so don't worry if there isn't a thread talking about it yet we'll probably have one quite soon! Or just make one yourself!

Fairy Tail : Eclipse plan...

I have finally finished catching up on both the anime and manga of Fairy Tail and below is a quick round up of my feelings of what has came and what is yet to come....

18 November 2012

Sword Art Online

OK so I am just about up to date with Sword Art Online (SAO) I just need to watch the new episode that should be online by now.

If you want my views on the series read on!

****WARNING SPOILERS*****

The customer is always right?

It really gets on my nerves when people say that. Especially when they are saying it and there is no way what they say will ever be "right" as it is against what our shop does!

Magi (anime)

Ok so I have seen the first episode of an anime called Magi. It is about a kid called Aladdin and a slightly older guy called Alibaba.

I am in two minds about this one.

In the pros :
It is quite sweet
It is well drawn
Very funny
Seems to have a good story

In the cons :
I know this possibly is a running theme in anime full stop but the boob gags did my head in a bit and as most people who know me knows I can really be put off something because in my mind it's semi-perverted!

I'm gonna catch up on the other 3 episodes tomorrow then make my mind up. Next up is Art Sword Online!

DWM 451 : Battle of wits Should Companions Die?

Alright so I'm late with this but I thought I'd do it now whilst watching some anime.

In DWM 451 they were discussing whether or not a companion should die. Johnny was against death with the tag line "The companion in Doctor Who is in danger of far more horrific threats then just mere death" whilst Toby was for death with the tag line "Adric went from waddling, one-note irritant to misunderstood, tragic her in one fell swoop."

My thoughts....

Fairy Tail Overview

So I have caught up with Fairy Tail. It isn't over by far! But I'll be watching the adventures every week like everyone else.

So now that I am up to date I thought I'd give a general over view of the anime (I am only like book 60 in the manga.)

Can't stop crying...

My holiday started in such a wonderful way yesterday! (Well Saturday, by the time I've written this all out it'll be Monday!)

My boyfriend is a role player / cosplayer. He's in a cosplay group called "Scarey Knights" and on Saturday they were wandering around Plymouth dressed up.

Now I don't care, I love that he dresses up I think it is cute and I love him to pieces and trust him.

What hurt me was that he did a photo shoot with a zombie bride and he's kind of lied to me about it all!

Basically my mum and someone else told me that they saw them holding hands. When I asked if he had been holding her hand he said no other than one photo shoot.

Fair enough.

The photos were loaded today, he wasn't JUST holding her hand he was proposing to her. And they were hugging. And she was grabbing hold to his mid section.

Now I was angry as I felt I gave him the option to tell me the truth yesterday and he kinda lied.

So we had ANOTHER talk about it today and he asked the people to take down the photos.

They didn't and the girl who uploaded them in the first place had a hissy fit about it all and instead of simply pressing delete has decided she's taking a break from Facebook.

But that isn't the bit that has me in tears right now.

What is making me cry at this moment is the fact he admitted after he realized one way or the other I'd see these photos that it wasn't just a spur of the moment thing, after they did those pictures they actually went to a registry office and took some more.

I can not be the only human being in the human race that can see how that would upset a girlfriend?

Am I a total bitch for being upset about it?

I'm at work, working with a guy who has been picking on me since April to come home to messages telling me my boyfriend has spent the day walking around town holding hands with someone. Now on the internet there will be photos of him and her circulating looking like they are actually a couple.

Yeah I might be over reacting a tiny little, ittle bit, but I do have a point!

I don't know this women, I wasn't there, he didn't tell me until he HAD to tell me and now he is making me feel like the bad guy.

Any help would be appreciated!

James Potter and Bullying (Harry Potters dad!)

Well I've been back on Tumblr for a little while now, and I have a interest in Harry Potter so I've joined a Harry Potter confessions blog.

One confession that always surprises me is that James Potter, Harry's dad, isn't a bully.

Read below for my opinion on this pressing matter!

Monroe & Alpha reviews to come!

Well both Monroe (ITV) and Alphas (5*) have started their second seasons. I have watched both episodes of Monroe and 2 & 3 of Alphas. I will be writing reviews on all the episodes in the coming days.

Basically right now I should be writing :

A review of Monroe on Monday or Tuesday
A review of Alphas on Tuesday or Wednesday
A review of Red Dwarf on Thursday or Friday

With intermittent dollops of anime twittering in between!

What I will say is Monroe and Alphas have both started off were they left off. Wonderful shows.

Dilemma in love!

I have a dilemma.

I don't know whether I should talk to my boyfriend or not about a group he's joined and it's doing my nut in!

I find it very hard to talk to him about these things but I think I need to talk to him this once, usually I just write him a letter!

Fairy Tail Characters

There is a large amount of characters in Fairy Tail. Not only do they give you an in depth look at the Fairy Tail wizards but at most characters you meet along the way.

So for this blog I will tell you about my favorite characters!

*SPOILERS - I will be talking about characters and things they have done so if you aren't at least up to episode 70 don't read*

Fairy Tail

OK so I have been watching Fairy Tail the anime and I thought I'd write about why I love it so much.

If you stumble on this post and don't watch Fairy Tail let me tell you a little about it.

Basically its set in a world were magic exists, there are many different types of wizards and they belong to guilds. By far the most destructive (but in a good way) guild is Fairy Tail. It is home to legendary wizards, and legendary wizards in the making. Saying this though they are all friendly and just one big family, even if they fight amongst themselves a lot. And I mean A LOT!

The main characters are Team Natsu. In this team is Lucy, a celestial wizard, Erza, a wizard that uses the requip ability, Gray, a Ice maker wizard, Happy, a flying cat and Natsu, a Dragon Slayer wizard.

The wizards in the guilds go on jobs posted by people to their guilds to earn their living. Obviously the series focuses around some of the bigger jobs that Team Natsu goes on (with some of the smaller ones too.)

See below for why I love it...

Did it disappoint?

Fed up and under appreciated

There are just some weeks that drain everything from you.

I have just had one of those weeks.

In fact one of those fortnights!

My assistant manager is a total idiot, he's basically spent the last two weeks trying to bully everyone around. That I can deal with, he's a prick, he wants to be the big man and because he's the new guy (and shit at his job) he takes it out on everyone else. Whatever, get over yourself.

But you'd think seeing as I'm basically spending the days being told how worthless and stupid I am my boyfriend of all people will be trying to build my confidence up?

Doctor Who : Asylum of the Daleks

(I know I'm behind but I've decided to write the reviews for the first three episodes anyway on here!)

So for the opening episode of Series 7 Steven Moffat has decided to write for the Daleks for the first time.

I have to say that the hype for this episode was through the roof! Everyone who had seen it told us how wonderful it was and even though the big spoiler technically was given away I have to say it was pretty damn great!

*SPOILER WARNING* For those who are still yet to see it obviously don't look any further!

Got a new expensive camera and it takes some wonderful photos!

DWM 450 : A Battle of Wits Desert Island

I was reading my Doctor Who Magazine today (latest issue 450) and the battle of the wits this month was basically two lists of Doctor Who stories they'd like to be stuck on a desert island with. So I thought to do my own!

1. The Two Doctors
Johnny Candon included this episode into his list, I'm not sure if its for the same reason. The Two Doctors really is one of my all time favorite episodes of Who. I love having my favorite Doctor and favorite companion meeting. I loved the comedy aspects as well as the action and the serious side. Sontarian are one of my favorite bad guys, I love it when there is just one Sontaran up to mischief! The whole dynamic of actors was simply superb!

2. Vincent and the Doctor
One of the most brilliant episodes I have ever watched, it was such a sweet and emotional episode and cemented my love for Matt Smiths Doctor. A truly wonderful episode and one that manages to make me cry and laugh with every watching.

3.The Happiness Patrol
I can see why so many people dislike this episode but for me it was just a fun episode to watch. The premise behind it was interesting and even the stupider ideas where interesting. I really loved watching the episode and so happy I didn't listen to people telling me not to buy the DVD.

4. Spearhead from Space
I really enjoy this episode and it has a special place in my heart purely for being the first classic Who DVD I bought. Plus it had a lovely darker side to it.

5. A Christmas Carol
This is really a masterpiece, I love this episode so much. Everything about it is Christmassy and every time I watch it I think of Christmas. Its a wonderfully put together episode and not only that it takes apart a classic story and reinvents it in such a heartwarmingly sweet way. Everything from the flying fish to Sardick I loved.

6. The Five Doctors
Maybe just maybe I'm a sentimental fool but I loved the interaction between the four Doctors in this episode, and all the companions. Of course made even better by Patrick Troughton and Nicolas Courtney being paired up. Its everything I hope the 50th anniversary will be like. A handful of beloved monsters, the Master being cheeky, the Doctors showing how clever they are, the companions rolling their eyes at their Doctor... Its a perfect story for fans.

7. The Time Warrior
I just adore this classic Sontaran episode, as I said above (or hinted or whatever) I love the Sontarans I think they are a wonderful species if only because you only need the one of them to cause maximum chaos. And not only that but it being Sarah Janes first episode, the historic setting and it being a Pertwee episode make it a must have if I am stuck on a desert island!

8. The Mysterious Planet
The first installment of the Trial of the Timelords. I do love the whole trial to begin with, Colin Bakers cheeky digs at the Valeyard is sweet. The story itself isn't too bad and I was hooked the first time I watched it, I've been hooked everytime I watch it. It truly is one of my favorite episodes.

Book : Touched by an Angel
I really do like this book, I think it was the best Weeping Angels story by far. It was sweet and sad and you felt for all the characters. The Angels where also very scary even though they where right in the background of the whole story. I do like a lot of the Eleventh Doctor stories but this really does have to be a personal favorite just because it was such a touching and well put together story with one of Moffats most iconic villians.

I don't really have a item I'd want to take with me other than maybe a talking Dalek plushie I do love my nieces and seeing she steals my stuff all the time I might have to steal hers!

3 August 2012

Finally back online

Today, thankfully, BT have installed our internet. This means wonderfully that now I will be able to come online whenever I want! Meaning my blog will become properly active from now on.

10 July 2012

Been gone ages....

After getting a blog I suddenly disappear for ages!

For a change it wasn't my fault, I had internet problems which got followed by life problems and then cancelled my internet altogether! I've only just got on for 5 minutes for the first time since early May!

So much has changed really, I have a growing Troll army, I'm getting closer to being forced into joining more of Davids hobbies then I really wanted to join but the best news is that at the beginning of August I'll be getting proper Wi-Fi even if it is BT! So I'll be back online and for the first time ever be able to take my PS3 online too.

There's not really been that much more happening in my life, I've seen a load more movies in the cinema, most of them disappointments, and I spent a week having to hold my temper as I got closer and closer to killing my assistant manager!

Hopefully it'll all get better soon though, I've decided to give the fan site one more try moving away from Bruno Senna and maybe starting a Sergio Perez page up!

That is basically all there is to report, hopefully I'll be able to pop back online at least once more before I get BT, if not then mid August I should be back!

Commandeering Looe : or : A tour of Looe with a Pirate

Yesterday me and David went to Looe for the day.

Looe is a totally wonderful place, its so beautiful and the day was almost perfect. Not just because David was dressed up as a pirate (and looked deadly handsome.)

It started off all bright and sunny, we just walked around the town looking in shops, me wasting money in the arcades and getting upset even though I knew the games would have been rigged anyway, and just generally enjoying the day.

By the afternoon it was about to start to rain so we went to have something to eat (after David found a pirate shop and decided we'd have to come back so he could buy a gun) so we had a meal in Miss Marples Tea Shop which was wonderful! It was also a lot cheaper than half the places in Plymouth would be and the food was totally lovely. I had a ham and cheese omelet which was just gorgeous!

By then the rain was starting to get bad so we went back to the pirate shop so David could buy his gun and spent a nice time in the shop listening to the owner tell us all about different pirates and him giving us advice on what David should base his pirate costume on and whether or not I should be a wench or a female pirate!

In the end we had to stay in the shop for a while as it was pouring with rain, but when it finally calmed down a little (and we had found a gap in the stories) me and David moved on and did a little bit of shopping, and David got himself rum and raisin ice cream.
Unfortunately our journey home sucked, the thunder storm knocked out something on the line from Liskeard to Plymouth so the trains where cancelled and we got stuck in the train station at Liskeard. No one would tell us what was going on, then taxi's showed up but there was no organization so a whole load of people got taken to Plymouth who hadn't been there as long as we had, so we ended up waiting for ages for a coach to show up to take us home.

Other than the cock up at the end it was a lovely and near perfect day. I am so happy I got to spend some time with David somewhere nice, because of lack of money we are usually stuck in Plymouth and even then stuck in Plymouth doing nothing.

I've actually been looking at costumes so I can dress up with David the next big trip, David has actually brought me a top for when I go LARPing with him and I'm looking for a skit to match, hopefully I'll have the money to buy the skirt next month as I hope to take David and my mum to Penzance and it would be nice to dress up with David.

Things that I love Part II

So I started off just telling you randomly things that I'm obsessed with so next up I thought I'd tell you about the certain sports stars that I follow.

So in no particular order (well kinda)...

Part 2 : Sports Stars

Stupidly bored

I've had a very busy start to the year. In February our assistant manager left leaving us with no assistant manager up until a couple weeks ago, so I've had to do a lot of overtime.

Whenever I did get the day off I was bugged to death by my sister.

For the first time in what seems like a life time I have the house to myself. I could watch anything or do anything.

And I'm sitting on my computer bored out of my mind.

Random thought of the day

Why the hell are the photos on the MotoGP website profile bit so ugly?

I mean yes its about the racing and not every racing driver is going to be a pin up, but some of the photos are totally gruesome but the actual riders themselves are not that bad!

A very random thought and maybe quite a shallow one but to be fair I got a bit scared by the mug shots this year and do feel sorry for some of them!

MotoGP : Qatar (Race 1)

So it was the first race of the season this weekend (I know it is now Thursday I've been pretty busy!) and in a happy turn of events, with it being Easter Sunday, I managed to watch all the classes fully live!

Of course that will probably be the only time I get to do that this year other than my birthday weekend (French GP wooo!) but it was a nice way to spend a Sunday evening!

12 April 2012

A terrible idea for a blog

So me and David have been talking, and what we've been talking about is his friends name. His friend is called Chris Trace and unlike David Jefferson, which is such a long name that by the time you've finished saying it you are too bored to add an insult, Chris's name is perfect to tag random thing onto the end of it.

So without wanting to offend any Chris Trace's that might come across this blog, this is the terrible blog of Chris Trace.

Chris Trace is a fool.

Chris Trace likes to choke it in the bathroom.

Chris, as in Chris Chris, as in Chris Trace Chris, as in Chris Trace Trace Chris as in Trace Chris Chris Trace.

Chris Trace is a monkey.

Chris Trace is not a pirate.

Chris Trace drank all the rum.

Chris Trace shot first.

Chris Trace is a very naughty boy.

Chris Trace is a mangina.

Chris Trace likes vagina on motorcycles.

Try to substitute Chris Trace with David Jefferson or many other names and it just wouldn't sound the same.

Yes my third blog was a load of pointless crap.

And if Chris reads this I would just like to take this moment to totally lay the blame on David, he made me do it, he viciously attacked me and made me do it. And half of them he came up with. Yes its all David's fault!

2 April 2012

Things that I love Part I

Well I thought I'd better do a blog like this as I have no life so the majority of my posts will be purely about things that I love, watch, read and complain about.

Here are a few things that I am totally in love with.

Part 1 : Things

TNA Maximum IMPACT Tour IV (Jan 2012)

Me with JB
So as I said in my last (first) blog this year started off well with a big achievement for me.

I'm a life long wrestling fan and I love TNA, even with their short comings I just adore them. So last year I decided to bite the bullet and go to a TNA live show, and on the 28th January I was standing outside Wembley Arena.... On my own. Waiting for the show.

Why is this such an achievement?

(And just so you know this ISN'T a review of the night)

Why start this blog?

In the last couple years this has to be like my third blog.

I used to run a Bruno Senna fan page/forum but after getting fed up I needed a change. Before and during that time I had a LiveJournal account, after a while the site just didn't want to work for me ever so I gave up. Then I got a blog on the same site I had for my Bruno Senna fan page, but after the fan page went down I just didn't have the strength or the attention to do it anymore. I've experimented with Tumblr, and as nice as the community is I just couldn't keep up with the endless fan girl posts on there.
