Lament 10
Back to school we go! After a miserable summer break Tomoko is off to school.
Yay!
***SPOILERS***
So year one was just a tutorial. We start from now!
Ohhh no day one and it has already gone wrong, seat change in class and she's now sat in the middle of the group that she doesn't really like! One of them decides he's going to talk to her, whether he's being mean or not... I guess he's being nice he just seems excited to be back but I hated when people acted like that to me "ohh look I'm talking to her that no one usually speaks to" "Well speak to her more" ummm hello I am here!
By lunch she's convinced herself that this is just an obstacle she has to face but when she gets back to class someones stolen her chair to sit next to her friends. So she takes her lunch and tries to find somewhere to eat it. The door to the roof is locked so she finds a few tables and sits on her own.
Then all of a sudden (don't know how long it was) they clear away the abandoned desks and chairs and leave Tomoko's piece of heaven empty. She faints during PE after not eating and ends up eating her lunch when everyone else has left for the day and then walking home.
After school she goes to the arcade and ends up winning a giant toy and it made her feel even more lonely but next day when she had a brilliant reason to join in as the class were just choosing their festival theme but she leaves. Another thing she seems to be allowing to pass her by, she could make a new club up. No... She goes back, come on Tomoko you can do it!
The daily life club?
I'd have done a anime club or something.
A few weeks later after putting in her application form.... She got her club and two people joined. Or maybe not... It was all just a fantasy. They are doing a café theme after all in her class. She goes to check on her club request and its been declined for being too vague.
Poor Tomoko! She was so on the right line! I really think she should have played to her strengths though.
I was part of a group that made a group up at school! In the second year it got taken over by a teacher and everyone "joined" because he was good looking... Kinda killed the group.
Well she tried! You can't say anything bad about that, she did something productive to help herself. Being put in the middle of a group of friends is a difficult thing if you've been on your own for ages in the class. It can be really stressful!
I really felt sorry for Tomoko this episode because to be honest she didn't do any of her weird creepy things she did try and fail to do something productive and I'm sure given time she might open up to the people around her.
Though it is festival time at her school.
She'll have to talk then as she'll be working as part of a team!
This could be interesting.
The episode was pretty sad, it had a lovely soundtrack to it, quite mellow and downcast really. Set the mood and was so my life once more.
Actually right now probably not the best anime for me to be watching!
I do feel like the summer break stuff at times got way over the top and I liked that it came back to earth this episode.
Can't wait to see what happens at the school festival!
