Makai Ouji : Devils and Realist : King and Ring

Episode 11

We were promised last week from Baal that we are going to get serious.

Are we ready?

***SPOILERS***

We start on a bad note, of course it has to be Michael and he's picking on Kevin as always! It appears Jeanne ended her fight with Camio partly because it looked like she couldn't win but partly because of the "rotten air" of Hell... And of course Michael tells Kevin he should have sent him. Git.

In Hell and there is a meeting between Baal, Astaroth, Beelzebub and Samael. Baal tells the group that it is too dangerous to keep William on Earth so he wants him in Hell, after Astaroth claims he just wants to kill him he and Beelzebub call her bluff and it is decided William will come to Hell.

All three send their lackeys to "fetch" William, Astaroth sends Lamia, Baal upsets Sytry and Beelzebub talks Camio around to his way of thinking.

Back at school and William is getting all excited about his prospects, as only William can. After wondering, and dismissing, whether the ring was giving him good luck Lamia appears and brings him to Hell where he comes face to face with a room full of Demons.

We also find out that Samael is the Ruler of Limno and the East, Beelzebub is King of the North, Baalberith is Ruler of Tartarus and King of the West and Lady Astaroth is Grand Duchess of the South. Hence why they are the most important ones there it seems!

Anyway William doesn't make many friends by insulting Lucifer and gets attacked by a random demon just to be saved by Dantalion. The ring in his pocket falls out and the lower Demons decide if he didn't have that ring then they wouldn't have to follow him and Baal announcing that if they had the ring they might be able to control Heaven sends them over the top and no words to calm from the Lady will stop the inevitable. In his panic William puts the ring on....

The ring basically awakens Solomon, not fully yet though and Baal announces this is the time to take his soul and the ring. Baal is too late though as it seems Solomon is awake and able to defend himself.

The Lady uses her intelligence, knowing that Heaven must feel Solomon's return she knows that there will be a war for him.

Of course Gilles shows up to "crush" Solomon. Good luck matey!

Sooooooo Solomon hey?!

This episode felt like a first part to a two part story, there was just enough to get you excited and then ended when you just needed more. It isn't really fair to judge it much because it'll be judged after you've seen the next episode which it basically built up for.

If anything it carried its story well and I do find the whole way that Hell works interesting.

Solomon. I don't like him, too much like Michael for my liking. I'm hoping William returns to us, and how dare he not know Dantalion's name, isn't that the one thing that Dantalion hates? Poor thing.

The episode was great it built a lot of tension and started the fighting, I guess it is good to stretch it over the two episodes though it is a pain when there just isn't enough in one part. Not that this part wasn't full of exciting things but it felt like it was just getting started!

Baal, what are you up to mate? This isn't the way to go. He's gotten himself into a lot of trouble, trying to defeat Solomon? He won't take kindly to that!

Have Samael and Beelzebub disappeared? They weren't there near the end of the episode? I'm sure they weren't.

Good story and a great group of characters but just not enough this episode!
