One Piece : Village

Chapter 21

Buggy looks to be defeated and Nami was saved by Luffy.

We are looking forward to the new faze of adventures?

***SPOILERS***

So he asks Nami if she'll be his crew member and she just says that she will cooperate with them until she's got what she wants.

Just then the villagers show up again. Luffy doesn't hide the fact he knocked their chief out or the fact that they are pirates. Chouchou keeps the villagers from chasing them too far. When they finally get to the boat the three pirates that Nami stole hers from are there waiting for them, one look at Zoro though and they run a mile.

Meanwhile Boodle is only just waking up.  After learning that the three of them were chased away he follows after them to shout thank you before they leave. Another happy customer left behind them on their sails, and we now have two small boats.

Turns out that Luffy left one of the bags of treasure behind which ends us on quite a funny scene to finish with.

I like that ending to that particular story, the fact that Boodle got to say thank you and another village has been left thinking a little better about some pirates. I also like that Luffy pretty much left the treasure to help the village rebuild, that was quite a thoughtful little bit from the writer.

So we are now two small boats floating about in the ocean with a little more purpose than before.

It'll probably take a few chapters for Zoro to be better but at least we are away from the dangers of Buggy.

I've really enjoyed the Buggy storyline, it was really nicely done and not too long or too short. It was fun meeting someone else who has eaten some of the devils fruit but also just seeing other weird and wonderful pirates, I mean how did a whole bunch of circus pirates end up together or did Mohji and Cabahji just train with Buggy?

Altogether the arc has been pretty fun and I've loved meeting the new characters and a new village, I hope they rebuild and get on with life as well as can be, it would be pretty sad if they had to move. It was touching seeing the villagers bandy together, they probably never would have been able to do anything against Buggy when he settled in but it might make them a little more forthcoming if anything happened again.

So we are now looking for a new crew member?

Wonder who it will be....
