Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou : Rain Settles the Dog

Episode 6

So all is well! The psycho was the one behind the slasher, Madoka is basically being treated as Natsuno's sister in law... Yeah it got a bit weird!

So what fun is in store for our helpless little doggy this week?!

***SPOILERS***

So we are in the bookstore and it seems that it isn't weird for them to serve a dog. I do like his little carry bag thing he has strapped to him.

Just allowing another women to touch him is apparently him cheating on Natsuno. He has a story about that book shop. I think Natsuno is very sensitive about her breasts... Last spring... He was meant to meet the house manager but was early and had finished reading his book so he went to the book store and ended up shouting at an old women for ages about one of his favorite books (yeah she left before he'd finished.) He instantly got on with the book store owner who gave him loads of books, a book card and loads of extra stamps. Natsuno fell asleep before the end of the story which is sad because once again his story is heartbreaking.

The store is closing so the youngest sister is trying to find ways to keep the store open but they've been ignoring her so far. She's even made a hat for doggy to wear around town to promote the store. Come on Harumi this is the way to save your bookstore! Cheer up.

Ohhh no Shining is about.

Yayoi is the name of the girl, look see I'm getting good at this! Natsuno shows up and again seems to actually be able to cheer up and help Yayoi.

It turns out that the little girl heard her mum and dad fighting and then thought they'd get divorced and they'd lose the store, the store was never actually going to close. How sweet!

I really think this episode was the best so far. It was a quiet affair, not really anything special but was packed with so much emotion it was unbelievable.

I never thought we'd get so much information on characters who up until now weren't that important, I mean I didn't think the bookstore family would ever be the main focus of an episode but now I want Yayoi to be in every episode! She's pretty awesome as a character.

It was also nice to have Harumi off doing something he wants to do instead of following Natsuno or else being kidnapped or "working", it helped that he looked super cute in his little bag thing to carry his books!

I still don't know what to expect from this anime, it really is quite a random one but as I've said before even with its randomness it still holds together a lot better then some anime's that have been really over rated and done the same thing just not as well. I like how this story is self contained, we learnt about Harumi, the people he knows and actually pretty much learn he did make a proper human connection with some people, even if it had to be over books.

I do think it'll be a great shame if we don't see them again, along with Afro and Natsuno's bodybuilders they could add a great dynamic to the stories in the future.

This is the second anime today that I've watched the episode and thought "brilliant, what a wonderful little episode" then had to write about it and other then saying it was wonderful can't really find the words to describe why.

I guess because it came off some really heavy emotional stuff, it stuck with emotional character beats but left on a high note, within a self contained episode with no real "threat" to any of the characters. Possibly the fact that it was a little girl and a doggy trying to save a business (that didn't need saving.)

It was just a feel good episode and I adored it.

I love learning about all these characters and hope by the end of the series we get to know them a lot better!
