Nobunagun : Evolutionary Invasion Objects

So Ogura is on a roll beating the crap out of these creatures. She hasn't even been trained and she's off on one. Its amazing!

***SPOILERS***

Invasion Objects. What a strange name for the creatures. Wonder why they are called that.

She took out 202 of them before she ended up fainting.

Dogoo are the name of their agency.

So the Invasion Objects came to earth on a meteorite and their cells have been adapting. They are at fish level and will evolve to amphibian level at some point.

The episode ended the fight from last episode (quite spectacularly) but also for a change saw a struggle with the main character having to decide what she is going to do. She lost herself, knowing there is someone else in there as well she's kind of second guessing who she is. She goes to see Asao in the hospital who reassures her, but it still feels a bit like she's being forced into it.

I like how Dogoo aren't a secret, even if they were until now after this episode everyone knows who they and the Invasion Objects are. The only thing I disliked about it was they didn't really give Ogura a chance. They came out in public and when faced with a photo of her they just told them it was her decision. Well yeah after that and then the out pouring of "if it was me" people what kind of person WOULDN'T join?

I mean in the end it probably is the best thing for her, she likes this kind of thing (tanks and war etc) and it might be an interesting path PLUS she is doing good for the world, but it did feel a bit forced upon her.

It was nice that she got the choice though. They don't always in these shows.

Its also nice that we've had explanations so soon. If I remember correctly it took some time to really understand anything about Circus in Karnival, there are some anime's (and shows in general) that like to keep the mystery going for as long as possible, it is nice that the mysteries are all gone and we can just look forward to joining Ogura on her mission.

I really like Asao and hope we see a bit of her from time to time, being Ogura's first friend it would seem wrong not to see her.

It looks like we'll now be getting to know Dogoo a little better what with Ogura being sent there to train now. I can't wait to meet other E-Gene peeps, I am enjoying what they can do. I have to admit to being a tiny bit let down by Gandhi and Newton's abilities though, not half as cool as Jack and Nobunagun. Never mind lets hope we see some cool action from all of them in the future!
