Gingitsune : Satoru and Haru

Episode 4

We have now met a few more Heralds which was really interesting, and we also got to see Gins partner and hear why he left.

Interesting stuff! Now we go on with a feel of how the Heralds feel.

***SPOILERS***

At a different shrine and someone else is planning on leaving his spirit it seems.

Makoto's father gives her news that they'll be "welcoming someone into their family" and of course Makoto thought he meant getting married, what he meant was someone from another shrine was coming to stay, they were really good at kendo and the school that she goes to is really good at kendo so he's transfered down. Kamio Satoru is the name and Makoto isn't happy to know that she'll be living with a boy.

Gin seems uninterested completely!

Nice to see Funashabi being nice still! Whilst walking along talking to her Makoto see's something out of the corner of her eye and follows. Unfortunately it disappears.

Back at the shrine and it seems that Satoru has already found Gin. Actually that isn't too hard seeing he was sleeping on the front porch.

And he's brought a tiny little bubby Herald called Haru. Who.... Seems to be in trouble for following him.

Heh I see Haru and Gin getting on a treat!

Satoru seems to want to do things on his own, his parents seem to be dead and he wants to go out and live on his own. His only request is for Haru to be allowed to stay (don't get the dramatic music it is obvious they will say yes.)

Gin does't seem to tthink their reason for coming to say and acting the way they do will be important.  I hhave a ffeelinng it'll be about his parents. Just aa hunch, the way he talks about his shrine.

As I typed that we get a flashback, he's been living with his aunt and typical bratty cousins who treat him badly and seem to think he'll cause problems. No wonder he feels like he's imposing on them, that was how his own family made him feel.

Next morning and he loses his temper with  Haru trying to get him to go home. He runs off and it is up to Makoto and Gin to make Satoru see that he needs to go after him else he'll disappear.

Oh no!

I really like Haru and Satoru, they are sweet. Haru might get annoying though specially with that know it all attitude, he was starting to get annoying closer to the end but just about saved himself from becoming over bearing.

Satoru seems to have a traditional tragic background, of course someone needs one! He's a male Cinderella by the sound of it. I do feel greatly sorry for Satoru though, it is a old story but it is so old because it works. I do hope this isn't just some kind of mini-story and that Satoru and Haru stay long term, that would be quite interesting having them all together especially if Satoru cheers up a little, I guess his big problem is that he believes that he is down trodden now, he's been treated that way for so long that it just is what he is now.

I'd hate to see Yumi attack him though! He doesn't deserve that fate.

It is nice having new people introduced, I like that they are completely different from the rest of the cast so far, another completely different personality to join the rest of them. It makes a fun dynamic and I can't wait for him to see more people.

The episode was only the beginning of a story though so I can't base my opinions on the one episode alone when there is obviously a second part coming. But this was a good strong episode and I can't wait to see what happens next, as I said my biggest wish is that Satoru finally feels like he an settle down because he's away from his aunt and her horrible children!
