Battle Spirits: Saikyou Ginga Ultimate Zero : Taste it! Another Ultimate User!!

Episode 7

So the last episode wasn't my kind of thing, it really had become rather childish.

Lets hope it gets a bit better.

***SPOILERS***

So they finally gave up. And Rei and company go to get something to eat.

We then meet Tohno and get a flashback of how him and Rei met. He comes from the planet Facuet which is kind of like a giant beach. Yes it is planet Facuet because it has a giant tap and it needs to be equal amounts of hot and cold water. The bad guys have stolen the blue handle so Tohno is trying to get it back.

Rei takes a look at Tohno's deck and gives him a WingSoldier so that he can win more often.

So the Boss of the Seven Generals arrives at Ice Cube.

OK it is starting to get really silly now.

They are fighting over the handles to Planet Facuet. You couldn't make this kind of thing up.

The battle is actually very interesting, I think it worked better because it wasn't the same old same old from Rei, instead we got to see two completely different decks at work which was interesting and fun.

Strikewurm-Leo is quite an interesting card. Basilla Dawn is quite cool, I enjoyed having a more serious bad guy and he's an ultimate user. Ultimate-Desperado. Now that is one cool card to have drawn!

I feel for Tohno it happens to me all the time, you think you are safe and suddenly you get someone who has something that doesn't follow the rules as you think. So yes now they've lost the red handle too. So yes of course it is up to Rei to get the handles back and that means he has to fight Basilla.

Good luck with that.

The episode was much better than last episode and it was nice having something a little different.

I really liked seeing the effects of different coloured cards, there is so much depth to other people's decks and we get stuck with the same couple cards from Rei, surely he has even more then the ones we constantly see?

I do enjoy the show a lot and know that it is aimed at the young 'uns, I have no problem with that but sometimes it feels like some of the really stupid cartoons of the past has inspired this show and they weren't good anyway let alone copying their style.

Saying that getting away from the stupidity of Facuet Planets and such the story once more was simple but fun, it was nice to see someone else fight and nice that the bad guys weren't made to look like weak idiots.

It is back on the up so I'm not giving up quite yet, I really do feel that it is just a nice show that you can watch without having to get super involved in the plot. Its greatness lies in its simplicity, but also it can turn on itself and be too simple and therefore lose any kind of story that it did have to begin with.

But its on the up and up. That is always positive.
