Uchouten Kazoku : The Eccentric Family

Episode 13

We only have mother to save, the Friday Fellows are about to eat her next door to the Tanuki meeting to decide on the Nise-Emon.

Not only that but Yasaburo is with them!

What will happen and can the family bring down the Ebisugawa family?

***SPOILERS***

So Yasaburo is in the room whilst his mother is being delivered, and Hotei recognizes her too.

In the next room and Ebisugawa is still denying having anything to do with the plot plus the cooking of Yaichiro's father. It isn't long until the fight between the two of them sends them flying next door.

Fun and confusion abound, Ebisugawa doesn't want Mother eaten, Yaichiro is a tiger, Hotei runs off with Mother to try and save her, the Tanuki all transform after realizing they are sitting next door to the Friday Fellows and the Friday Fellows seem to think they can make as many Hot Pots as they want.

It only ends when the Professor gets bored of waiting for them to stop and gets angry, he ends up chasing Hotei who Yasaburo pretends is.... Well with Benten.

After causing Havok all over the place Benten finally goes to the old man and takes him home.

The rest?

Mother talks to each boy over the phone on their own and basically tells them that she's proud and loves them. On the New Year they go to pray at the Shrines and that is basically it.

Loved the ending, the story was really nicely finished off and the episode was brilliant!

It was a great ending to the story they were telling at that moment, I'm happy that it didn't come down to people having to believe one person or the other. Even though I wanted Yaichiro to come out on top I'm not disappointed that they ended up basically calling it a draw and having the knowledge that Ebisugawa just disappeared.

I'm really happy that Hotei saved Mother and that he wanted to stay friends with Yasaburo, that was sweet. Also Benten kind of redeemed herself in my eyes with her last few acts of the series.

The episode did what all the good episodes did best and that is just be lovely. The music was perfect, the settings where great and everyone had a happy ending. Even the bad guys just became more like naughty children then hateful twats!

And of course Froggy bro is now out of the well, he's still a Frog but we can work on that one now he's out.

I just thought it was a nice little ending to what has been a great little series. I mean I loved the way they ended it, there was no real heartbreak, in the end it sorted itself out in the manic way that a lot of Yasaburo's stories so far have.

Plus now everyone knows the truth of what happened as they can't fail to have heard anything that the Friday Fellows said to Ebisugawa or the fact that he had Mother in a cage!

A nice ending to a wonderful series.
