Makai Ouji : Devils and Realists : Another battle -as an intermission-

Episode 10

Heaven has invaded Hell with Jeanne (Joan of Arc) leading the armies.

She ended up in battle with Camio, no idea how it ended but after a battle with Kevin, Raguel and Dantalion (yes Angels AND a Demon) Gilles de Rais goes in search for the saint to.... Force her out of her Ecstasy.

Yes it is as grim as it sounds, but Ecstasy doesn't sound that nice as well, it basically makes you a puppet of the angels...

***SPOILERS***

So dinner time in the main hall and Dantalion is moaning. Isaac announced that the next day is the cultural festival (I think to make Dantalion happier about food.)

So turns out that Camio made it back safely too and is participating as well in the cultural festival. It'll also boost their grades a little. Dantalion is in (metaphorical/Food) heaven looking at the food in the stalls.

Sytry has a booth selling pictures of himself....

He's also got Gilles in charge of selling stuff.

Dantalion has a muscle/wrestling thing going on (after running off determined to beat Sytry) and later on Isaac has a tea stall set up!

So it is left for William to find an idea. He decides to go and "help" Sytry by flattering him. Then to Dantalion to flatter him. Actually that is pretty mean as they both are so adorable! Ohhh no then onto Isaac. He's a pain that one!

He makes a giant tea house, selling Isaac's tea and making Sytry and Dantalion maids/butlers.

AWWW Dantalion's bats are so adorable as kids!

Hee and the goat and ram butler are out and about as humans! I was about to write that we were watching a cool new dude ordering meat but we already knew that the goat butler is way too cool! They go to William to judge their cooking competition.

Now I'm hungry!

After the goat wins the competition they are forced to cook for Williams restaurant.

We end with Baalberith telling us it is time to get serious! Don't scare me so Baal.

What an episode! A nice intermission.

If anything this episode felt out of place to be fair. The whole battle thing and yet everyone in charge seems to be having fun. I guess it is just a episode to have fun in but it did feel like a bit of a... Well not a let down because I loved it so much! It was what it was, it kind of broke up the big drama of the series and gave us a little chuckle but I still can't help but think it would be better placed earlier in the season.

Oh well it happened now. And at least it had Baalberith telling us we'll be getting serious! Trust that man, he's one hell of a spooky dude.

So the episode, it was great wasn't it?

All their ideas were so silly, I mean really who would want to buy a picture of Sytry? Are the boys so deprived of females that their classmate being cute really is enough for them to go gaga over? And Dantalion... What was he actually doing just fighting people?

Isaac's was pretty good and showed him playing to his strengths, I loved Isaac, though I hope that William keeps his promise and helps him study from now on.

As for Isaac, well, he was using his intelligence. Get them all working under him and all that. I just wish I knew what Camio did, or was it implied that he cheated? I really don't know.

On the whole I liked the break from the serious to be honest, it did what the series did best and made me fall in love with the characters. I guess the only reason it really felt out of place was I can't remember a proper end to the Jeanne fight nor do I think Gilles should have been there being cute after leaving to basically rape Jeanne. Never mind. It has all been forgotten a bit!

No Kevin.

The series is always great and this episode was no different, it was fun but you need that really. I think sometimes shows can get hung up on themselves and this show has always tried to run a light streak through the dark so in a way this is just a way to keep the show lighter than it would have been.

Can't wait for next episode though, what is Baal up too?! And why do I want to keep writing Ball instead of Baal?
