Blood Lad : Sins of the Eyeglass

Episode 9

Last week Braz was dragged off by the Apocrolis Police to see the King Wolf-Daddy.

Meanwhile we find out that Fuyumi has been kidnapped by Hydrabells brother to go and see Mummy. She doesn't look to be in my trouble with Hydraknell but after beating Bell at her own game Staz is on his way!

***SPOILERS***

We seem to be having a flash back to when Braz was a kid watching Wolf-Daddy... What? Rip the heart out of his father?!

So Beros gets in trouble for insulting the eyeglasses of Braz because the eyeglasses haven't done anything wrong according to the Cheif Goyle (who also wears eyeglasses...)

Fuyumi is still not sure what is happening around her. Turns out that the butler at the Hydra house hold looks a bit like her father.

Whilst Braz is being sarcastic to the King Knell is dressing Fuyumi up in Bell's clothes... Who just happens to be popping home with Staz.

So Fuyumi is happy to see Staz who tells her not to talk to him because he and Bell are madly in love.... Well that is the game they will be playing, she'll have to stop shooting him first!

Turns out that Braz and Bell's mum are "text" buddies. And not only that but Bell's mum acts like she knows Fuyumi or something..... Strange goings on.

As always the boys (Braz and Wolf-Daddy) aren't getting down to the point, it is all about hidden meanings stated bluntly but terribly.... He asks how Braz's work has been going and tells him that Akim is actually Pantomime one of Wolf-Daddy's subordinates.

Turns out that this is Braz's declaration of war because the last king was his father and Wolf-Daddy ripped his heart out and became the new king.

Ohhh Braz you clever man!  And I have to say that Goyle is pretty funny.

I think that Staz is finally going to be taught he wasn't in love with Fuyumi he was in love with her blood.

Meanwhile his brother is going to have to fight Goyle.

Sooo the reason that Bell's mum looks deadly cool (but a little weird) is because Fuyumi's mum was her doppelganger so when they both met by accident they merged meaning Bell's mum is Fuyumi's mum as well!

Braz goes to Liz for help, yay for a happy Liz! But Goyle catches up to Braz and we get to learn about Braz's privileged magic, he can control his own blood and with that he kind of defuses Goyles privileged magic which is making a demon out of his anger.

Back with the others and no it isn't apparently blood that Staz is in love with, apparently it is Fuyumi's blood line but he gets transported away after asking Fuyumi if she is a virgin.

Wait is there only one episode left?! Only 10 episodes? Sucks.

But what an ending it is shaping up to be!

So we have all out war declared between Braz and Wolf-Daddy and he's using Fuyumi's blood fused with Staz's essence (or whatever) to make someone who can defeat Wolf-Daddy.

Meanwhile Bell and Fuyumi are actually partially related in a weird and wonderful way.

Brilliant!

I loved the episode even though there was a lot of talking and pushing the story to the end point, it wasn't overbearing and was pretty fun.

Wolf-Daddy is really bloody awesome! Love that character and can't wait to see if he comes out on top or not, I don't want Staz to win it and become king though, that'll ruin everything in my opinion.... Not ruin I guess I just don't like it as a possible ending.

And in the preview it looks like Wolf-Boy will be back. Good. Great character right there.

Sooo we are nearing the end and this episode was signalling what is to come. Goyle being killed by Liz? Liz is on her way with her axe...

I'm actually too excited to be honest, it was such a good episode.

I kind of like the whole twist that Bell and Fuyumi are related as their mothers both joined after meeting, that was pretty new for me and really brilliant. The doppelganger thing was pretty interesting. I also like how even though Fuyumi finds it all confusing I think she's coming to the decision that she wants to stay in the demon world, or I hope she does because she's made so many friends and fits in so well.

As for the whole stuff with Braz... I wish they'd had a whole series just for that story line itself! It might run the chance of being rushed which is a shame.

Great episode, this series has been pretty consistent with the episode quality and never have I had a bored moment.

So lets get some tissues this week for the final episode ok?
