One Piece : Buggy, the "Clown Pirate"

Chapter 18

Now it is time for Luffy v Buggy.

***SPOILERS***

So Buggy won't tell Luffy anything about Shanks, if he wants to know he'll have to beat it out of the clown.

A fight ensues meaning a lot of rubbering around for Luffy and Buggy pulling himself apart. Buggy's crew are smart enough to know they won't survive if they get involved so play dead a little longer whilst watching what happens to be quite an interesting fight.

How to get Luffy angry? Mess up his hat! Nami oversee's Luffy losing his temper but that is nothing to when Buggy finally gets three knives through the hat and then compares himself to Shanks (well he didn't, he said they were pirate trainee's together, but never the mind!)

So... Angry Luffy. Nice one.

I love watching Buggy and Luffy fight, again it isn't a terrible thing to read, as I've said fight scenes in manga's can be... Difficult to care about when it looks like too much happening, but this was pretty fun. To be honest neither look really dangerous, you have a clown that keeps popping to pieces and then Luffy swinging himself about like a rubber band. I do enjoy it, much fun.

So Nami is starting to see the passionate side of Luffy and it won't be long till it clicks that the hat really means a lot to him because of Shanks, man I wish Shanks was here, I did love Shanks.

Buggy's crew are pretty intelligent not getting involved, I don't blame them to be frank, the fight is a dangerous one.

So we'll find out something about Buggy's past with Shanks at some point? Nice.

Really enjoyed the chapter, a lot of action but it was still fun. Really love Buggy, I say it every review but that is just because it is so true. I love the idea of having a "clown" pirate and he lives up to it. He isn't just a joke one (a bit like Alvida/Albida) he is deadly cool, deadly deadly and a complete bastard.

His crew are pretty cool as well and I love that the circus theme went all the way through.

If all the pirates are going to be as interesting as he is then I'm in for a treat!

Every chapter makes me love One Piece even more.
