Chapter 45
We have been introduced to Sanji who is kick ass as well as deadly serious about food.
After helping a pirate in need it seems that Luffy seems to like him as much as I do...
And no I have not spent the last two blogs basically fangirling out about him!
***SPOILERS***
Luffy takes no time in asking Sanji to join his crew and he refuses as he has his own reason for staying at the restaurant.
I do like how we've been told that people actually come to see the chefs fight and that the owner used to be a pirate himself! Good times!
"I refuse your refusal" good old Luffy!
Gin (the other pirate from Kriegs crew) tells Luffy to give up on his plan and go sail in some other seas. For some reason he seems very scared.
"Temporarily suspended from pirating restaurant on the sea's errand-boy working without pay Monkey D. Luffy" WOOHOO LUFFY!
And in the middle of figuring out he's useless at everything Luffy remembers Coby. Ohh Coby!
We have a cute moment in the restaurant with the crew and when Sanji starts flirting with Nami Zaff comes out and tells him to go and be a pirate.
Meanwhile it seems that Gin has got back to Don Krieg and is offering to show him the way to the restaurant. Ohhh dear!
I like Sanji even more though I can already see him fitting into our little crew perfectly. I would like to hear (and no doubt we will) why he wants to stay in the restaurant especially as it seems right now the head chef wants him gone.
The chapter was so funny, Luffy as a errand-boy... Never going to end well was it? Breaking dishes, eating the food and throwing hot pans around the place... Whoever thought that was a good idea now knows the error of misjudging people like Luffy!
I do love Luffy's pigheadedness. He doesn't care what others think when he gets it in his mind that the world is going to be this shape, he batters the world until it fits through that gap. If that gap changes mid voyage he just batters it back into place once more.
It is the greatest thing about Luffy is that he is so confident because he doesn't care about dying for his dream, yet he doesn't come over as over bearing or cocky (or smug) he comes across as a lovely character and you want to get behind his causes.
I really want to see how Nami reacts properly to Sanji, that could be funny!
And Zoro, see he has got a crystal ball he noticed the boogey in his drink and forced it down Luffy's throat instead! Trust in the green haired man.
Now I guess I'm intrigued to find out about Don Krieg. Is this going to be some kind of mafia pirate crew? I wouldn't have gotten Kuro's crew if you offered me money to guess (really Kuro=cat?) but this is starting to feel like mafia/gang boss.
The captain of 50 ships! Well he has the biggest crew to date doesn't he?
Can't wait to see him bringing it to the restaurant. Though hope the Head Chef gives them all what for!
