Makai Ouji: Devils and Realists : The One Who Scheme

Episode 6

So what happened in episode 5? I remember someone said something to Kevin didn't they? Ohh yeah me and Dantalion are going to fall out because he went to the lady demon and was told not to trust Kevin basically and he knows Kevin is hiding something.

We met a... Jebus now I'm not going to be able to remember what they are called. Killmoulis! The miller fairy, goblin things.

Sooo will we find out about Kevin this week? Lets hope so. Its about time the main character was in the show more.....

What? Don't judge me...

***SPOILERS***

So we join the group in the middle of a William tug of war. Sytry and Dantalion both want William. I guess when KEVIN, the great one, walked by William thought he'd have a savior but he just totally blanked William.

William is worried about Kevin but tries to hide the fact its because he likes him. On the schools "Family" day Isaac tells William to invite Kevin so they can talk.

Ohhh cute little flashback to Kevin raising William, how cute! William is just too proud to say that he cares about Kevin. William gets a visit from Colonel Swallow, the other Prefects father who wants him to enlist in military school, he invites William to dinner and whilst he is agreeing... Kind of Kevin walks in and asks to speak to William in private. But before he can say anything to Kevin he disappears, and Dantalion appears.... Then Sytry appears...

Kevin where are you going? Don't go somewhere! Where is he disappearing too?!?

Swallow Jr shows up later on in the evening and asks William to come home with him on his next day off, William agrees much to Sytry and Dantalions distaste. Someone is making a move on William? Poor William.... And Sytry and Dantalion come along with him to Colonel Swallows recovery party.

Now Camio seems to have figured out there is something wrong with Kevin.

Please just tell me what it is about Kevin. Stop making it look like he's evil, he isn't he's just Kevin.

William is now seeing Kevin everywhere, though that is the guy that Kevin told to keep an eye on Solomon... Who we know is William.

So William falls asleep in a private room and when he wakes up he over hears something he really shouldn't be listening to. They need Solomon's soul to start a war. Turns out that Swallow is a demon and all his conspirators are demons too. Lucky for William Dantalion is there to save the day. Eligos, a female demon, has been pretending to be Colonel Swallow since he died in the crash. Other than her eyes she's pretty cool.

Well another of William's classmates knows about the demons.... Kevin's helper stops Eligos from killing Swallow Jr, Sytry and Dantalion are totally useless at times, they could have saved him but didn't want to because of rules, or else would only do it to be elected. A little annoying. Not in the story, the story is great I just mean the characters are annoying in the way they are meant to be annoying.

William goes to see Kevin, YAY KEVIN! William thinks he's doing the right thing telling Kevin he doesn't have to be his house steward but Kevin gets upset because he thinks he's being fired. What a cute moment...

Wait. Wait. WAIT! WAIIIT! Kevin has a wing?! Kevin....

This show gets better every week and once again it shows that it really doesn't need too much action to make it brilliant the characters shine all the time.

Ohhh I liked this episode, not only because there was more Kevin but because it was just... Fun. Like last episode it just had a small contained story and we got to see more of the characters. Less of Isaac though...

I do love Dantalion and Sytry. You can see they actually do like William in their way even if they are trying to be elected too. Solomon must have meant the world to them because they see him in William and it makes the bond stronger.

Then again what is with Kevin?! Ok the wing thing is given away in the opening credits (yes anime opening credits strike again) but I mean... What is he? Why are two of my all time favorite fictional characters one winged?! Is he like the pure version of Sepiroth?! Now that would be something... Kevin and Sepiroth...

The episode was nice, simple and good fun. I do love all the characters and love seeing what they are getting up to. It was also nice to see that William actually does care about Kevin in his own way and fun seeing him realize that and going to try and be unselfish by letting Kevin choose his path.

It seems that Kevin's path is more complicated then we thought.

I love this show it is by far my favorite of the whole bunch of them. Some come close but this one is heads and tails about the rest, I just love it.

I'm sorry I can't add more than that to the review I'm feeling a bit blah tonight.

Really though, great episode.
