Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou : Dogs in Moderation

Episode 8

We learnt last week that Natsuno has a bit of a soft side, especially to Dachshund doggies!

She even has one embroided onto her favorite bra.... No joking.

***SPOILERS***

We are visiting the "Holy land of blades" this week. Madoka has even been invited!

We get a little bit of a photo of Natsuno's mother and sister, enough for Harumi to point out that she takes after her father.... If you see what I mean.

And after being called sister one too many times it looks like they are about to start fighting again until they decide to go have a bath together instead. Sakura (girl running the bookshop) and Ami (the girl who is always apologizing) are at the hot springs too.

She's got a whole romantic thing set up and planned for her and Harumi. It seems to be going wrong though, especially when they go for their "romantic" dinner and end up walking into the annual masochist get together (with her editor there of course dangling from the ceiling.) She doesn't even get to sleep side by side because he's already asleep.

Next day she walks into Maxi (SHINING!) and also the maid.

Something wrong has happened though, the workers all seem to be zombies and have taken all the blades and seem to be heading towards Natsuno. Poor Maxi, the zombie's are only interested in Natsuno they ignore Shining completely. Its up to Hamuri to save her, what a sweet little doggie!

Madoka shows up to save Harumi with a new Tuna Eater which just happens to be a chainsaw.

The fight ends after Natsuno's book falls out of her bathrobe and gets destroyed by the zombies, her stalker is still about though.

Natsuno has an evil stalker that can brainwash people to attack her? Now that is interesting!

I liked that we just had a random episode again even if we now have a bit of a story theme running through them I quite like having the two of them get up to crazy stuff together. And the more friends they invite the better!

My favorite scene had to be the whole attack scene just because it showed how wonderfully brilliant yet mad the whole show is. One little scene encompasses all the madness we've had so far. Even the "normal" characters are whacky as hell!

I am really interested in seeing what will happen with the stalker stuff, especially just finding out more about how he makes people into mindless zombies to do his bidding. That could be quite an interesting story in itself, though I feel the build up might be wasted. We'll see when we get there.

I'm also interested in finding out why Natsuno has these kind of feelings to Hamuri. I am a bit slow but it hasn't been obvious why she'd love him so much when she actually deplores him at the same time. It is an interesting dynamic between the two of them.

It was another good episode, I know a lot of people don't like this kind of "throw everyone in for random reasons" episodes but I kind of do, especially if there is a central story and the characters are there for a reason and they were. I do love the comedy that editor lady and Maxi (SHINING) bring to the show and the others are a nice comparison to their obscene weirdness.

It is a brilliant episode and I guess one of the big things we'll all have to remember is the book that Hamuri was trying to find, it seems everyone else was reading it so maybe that is our link?!

Sorry it was so late, had a bit of a hectic weekend and ended up with an allergic reaction to something last night. Not a very well bunny today!
