Chapter 347
So we've had a week to wait for the newest installment of Fairy Tail. Hello there! Thought I'd disappeared? Or maybe more clued up to the fact we had a break then I was?!
Anywaywhoodles.
So we ended last chapter with Flare coming to the aid of Lucy and Wendy and with Minerva showing her true side and thinking she'll prove her power by defeating someone with diminished magical power. Good old Minerva *rage*.
***SPOILERS***
So we open finally finding out what the deal is with Frosch costume! He grew up thinking he was a frog... God knows why and when he found out he wasn't he cried for three days and then got himself the frog costume.
OK then!
So... I actually do believe that Flare is stalking Lucy, not creepy or anything, but after the joke she says that she came back home. The crest that Flare has is the crest of the Sun Village, she was raised by the giants. Flare just got IMMEDIATELY cooler!
So Flare goes super angry but one of the Treasure Hunters cuts her hair, so Lucy brings out Cancer who goes to work saving Flare's hair... The girls work together to fight them but it doesn't really go their way. Well lets be honest they aren't used to fighting in a team (and Lucy had a brilliant idea but forgot the magical ice...)
But then one of the men puts their foot in it and tells them "women like you should just know your place... And that's simply shaking their asses for men like us." Lucy don't let them slander women like that kick his ugly backside to oblivion!
Good girl! Wendy is stronger than she looks, tying Flare's hair does nothing it'll grow regardless and Lucy has sent Mr Wonderful to find the sniper which he does and sends him flying to her for a Lucy Kick (and a Virgo Kick too!)
I am intrigued by whether Flare will join Fairy Tail or not as I can see her working really well with the girls!
I totally enjoyed the chapter, it was short and to the point. It was nice to see some background on Flare and it is easy to forgive her for her past after learning about her. I'm starting to become quite a big fan, though how the heck was it like for her to be raised by Giants?
It is a pretty unique character story so I'm interested in learning a little more when the Giants are unfrozen. But the story has just gotten so much cooler!
It was a great chapter to show the strength of Lucy and Wendy, they didn't need saving, didn't look weak, weren't the butt of some sexist stupid joke, they kicked butt! And they did it like proper mages too. Using their strength and cunning and coming out on top. Wooo boy was that a good one!
I do still kind of hope them two (three) save the day in this story, I'm guessing its only like a short story therefore I don't see any harm in letting them be the heroes for once.
You can tell I am a very happy girl with this chapter!
And with the ultimate news that the anime project is starting again I can't WAIT to see this in the anime, kick ass Lucy and Wendy?! Yes please!
A nice strong chapter and worth the wait!
Ohhh and really loved learning about Frosch though it seems quite worrying we're being reminded he's meant to die a year from now....
