Episode 8
So what is going on with Oogami? Is she working with Monokuma?
We'll find out....
***SPOILERS***
Oogami doesn't want to work for Monokuma no more but apparently there is a hostage situation.
So the fourth floor is open and the data processing and Principals office are both closed. After they make a joke about Oogami breaking down the doors it is made a rule that you can not break a locked door. They go to see Alter Ego who tells them the school was meant to lock them up and make them live together all along. Kirigiri decides she WILL find the principal (not Monobear.)
So a meeting in the gym, what for now??
Monokuma tells them all there is a mole working amongst them, well obviously we have two really. We have a mole, Oogami and we have a random stranger in a mask who could be spying on them. But Monobear comes out and tells them all it was Oogami, obviously his plan is to make people hate her. Asahina sticks up for her and Naegi comes out and admits that he overheard them. Oogami has been told if there ever came a time when there was no more murders she had to kill one of them.
Oogami decides to challenge Monokuma... Or the actual principal... GO ASAHINA! She slaps Togami for not caring about Oogami. Kirigiri gives Togami advice, carry on not caring about other people's emotions and it'll come and bite him later.
Naegi walks in on the psycho attacking Asahina and after seeing her hurt Oogami loses control. She goes to talk it through with Genocider with Asahina following.
Alter Ego has a request, she wants to join the network to help everyone get out. So back to the (now abandoned) hidden room.
Not long afterwards and Oogami is found dead in a locked room. We get to see how Kirigiri works. For all intents and purposes it looks like a suicide. Asahina blames either Togami, Hagakure or Genocider/Fukawa.
I'm actually really sad that Oogami is dead. For me Oogami was a real gentle character, obviously they used the muscles and all that to show how dangerous she is and the nickname of "The Ogre" but she was one of the most warm hearted and real characters. She truly was a good person and you could believe that she wasn't going to do anything to hurt her friends.
So a locked room mystery hey?
Well I guess first thoughts would be that it would have to be Hagakure, think about it. Locked room, he's meant to be a little mystical isn't he? Personally it looks like a suicide but mainly because I fail to see how anyone could actually... You know... Commit such an offence! The door wasn't simple locked it had a bloody door in front of it too!
What I find more... Interesting is that there is a data processing and faculties room. The faculties room is open for the students but the data processing (as well as the headmasters) room is closed. Hmmm.
We know that the school failed to get this going a year before, but by the description that AE gave us it didn't sound like they wanted the students to KILL each other but to commune together for the rest of their natural lives. The killing bit seems to be added on. Not only that but we now have a second photo that makes it look like these guys all knew each other before hand.... hmmmm.
I think we have more of a mystery then we've let ourselves in for and I'm not sure where it is going too.
We know that Naegi knew whats her face, but the rest where meant to be strangers. Now we're being led to believe that what... They did know each other?
The biggest mystery obviously being that the closing credits photo makes it look like they all sat down for a nice photo, we know this wouldn't be since they got closed in so when was THAT one taken?
And who the heck is the mystery person in the mask?! What was the meaning of the note?!
Who and what the heck is monobear? Is the old headmaster in charge of him? A man in his 30s not a bear with a miserable out look on life.
Whatever the case is I'm really looking forward to what is coming.
