Blood Lad : Unidentified Demon Object

Episode 5

So not only does Staz have a cool brother but a cool little sister who just so happens to be the jailer for the Demon World with her brilliant jail "Liz's Toybox".

Will Staz escape and manage to "unlock" his power... Or just steal the book he needs?

Plus Wolf-boy has taken Yanagi to Frankenstein! Woohooo!

***SPOILERS***

So Staz is fighting Liz's zombies who are actually really powerful and super funny. We are now using Yanagi's first name which is Fuyumi... Possibly I'll remember that over Yanagi...

The opening credits remind me that we've been so busy with the main story with Staz and Fuyumi that we haven't seen Staz's gang for a while. It was something I really liked about the start of the series that we didn't just lose them when Staz left, hopefully we'll see them again soon.

Back with Frankenstein and we find out that Fuyumi has also absorbed Vampire magic (when Staz gave her some blood?) and that with her ghost magic has made her pretty strong. Her ghost form also can't take it and that is why she is disappearing again.

Back with Staz and he isn't giving up with the zombies, he gets defeated again, meanwhile Liz has an unexpected visitor in their older brother (DEADLY COOL CHARACTER ALERT!)

Hehehe the zombies are a little upset finding out that Staz is Liz's brother! And Braz thinks Staz has gone through all that trouble for an autograph! Cute!

So Fuyumi can only survive if she takes Staz's magic, he'll still live... Just in the body of Fuyumi. Ohhh no Hydrabell has shown up.

Braz is being difficult and won't help (not that I thought he would right away) but this seems to have a effect on Liz. Poor Liz gets upset that Braz seems to like Staz better. Braz agrees to help Staz but wants a favor for it. I really like poor Liz, lets keep her shall we?!

So you don't have to turn her into a vampire to save her you can actually just take the vampire out of her. And I think both Frankenstein and Braz have the same enemy.

Artificial Demon No.9 Akim Papradon.

Frankenstein created him. He mentions that his ancestors stitched together humans to create a monster so he stitched together demons. Frankenstein wanted to make a hybrid to defeat it. They have half a day else he won't help Fuyumi.

We then meet Akim Papradon taking someones legs (he's incomplete so is hunting body parts) and Braz decides to possibly take the bullet out of Staz's heart. And Akim gets a new arm.

So Braz unlocked Staz's full potential and it is bloody scary! He managed to turn a boulder into a pebble just by touching it but it also looks like he couldn't control the power so Braz locked them to save him. Staz doesn't want that power back but I don't think Braz will let him not have them brought back.

The boss of the North is a pig. Ohhh he's not a pig he's a boar. And now he's a dead boar and we get a proper look at the deadly cool Akim!

Out comes the bullet. Bye bye zombies.

Can I start by saying how cool Akim Papradon is?! I love him as a character already and all he's been doing is going around and stealing other people's body parts! Already he looks like he's going to be so awesome of a bad guy, shame that he'll probably be killed off next episode or the episode after! Would have liked more of a build up with him. Never mind!

It worked having the two separate story lines which then over lapped.

I love Staz's family, and it was quite nice to see that Braz wasn't trying to kill his brother and have all three of them kind of chill out together. I'd really like if we saw them again! I mean we are only five episodes in so surely there is a whole load of non-fighty stories left and we might get a family reunion again!

I'm not sure I'm happy that Staz has powered up this early into the season, I hope it just stays fun and we don't have too much super power problems!

As for Wolf-boy and Fuyumi, well Frankenstein is cool ain't he?!

I actually think it is pretty cool that because she's drank some of Staz's blood she's got a bit of vampire in her. I mean thinking about it DUH she'd have some vampire in her, but at the same time it was made out to be so normal for her to have to do that I never thought there would be repercussions!

And Hydra came and saved the day... Still don't understand her much!

Altogether it was a brilliant episode, all of it was interesting and all of it was deadly cool.

I am so impressed by this anime in general I just love it to pieces. I like the two different stories, I love how we've got love triangles and all sorts but it isn't the main point of the stories, the whole point is basically people trying to help one another.

I don't know, I just think this series is wonderful!

The episode itself was kind of creepy but at the same time light hearted and fun.

Hate having to wait a week to see the next installment!
