Kiniro Mosaic : Aya Nervous in the Rain

Episode 4

We now have five main characters. Karen joined Alice in Japan and made instant friends with Shino, Yoko and Aya.

What will our high school friends get up to today?!

***SPOILERS***

So Karen has starting making her own trends with the people in her class and Alice doesn't like it much.

Today is Shino's birthday and only Aya knows that it is her birthday so Alice sings her a direct translation of Happy Birthday. Shino is upset that people think she's older than she is so tries to speak more casually and ends up giving them facts about the Eiffel Tower.

They then decide because she's sister to a model she might be a model herself, that didn't work either. Shino's older sister seems really sweet and brought Alice a fake Bonsai tree.

We get some really cute flashbacks to Karen and Alice when they were kids together and finally it seems that Alice has gotten over her jealousy. Though as I said I don't really blame her.

Alice's teacher is so funny, I really love her character she's just so dotty!

Ohh no Shino has a cold and has to stay home, poor thing. She's missing out she isn't around to see Yoko's love letter! It drives Aya insane all day because she's curious to see who it is from but Yoko doesn't bother until the end of the day, when she does open it.... It is a letter to Alice's parents from Shino, she wanted to put it in Alice's locker for her to translate for her but got the wrong one.

Another great episode, you have to love the relationship between the load of them, it is just adorable.

How could Shino's friends not know it was her birthday? Especially Alice! Strange.

It was also nice to see a episode where Shino wasn't there, I love her to pieces but she is very... Dreamy when it comes to Alice and Karen and it was nice to see the four of them interact without Alice becoming clingy to Shino or everything revolving around Shino.

I really do adore Yoko and Aya together and love the little bits they do together, they are just adorable and funny.

I do like learning more about the characters each time, it is nice to get a full picture of who they are and all that, I really like the series as it is just easy to watch and the characters were all instantly recognizable and likable, that is something a lot of series don't do straight off the bat but as this series is basically all about the girls and no adventure or anything like that (other than Alice's adventure in Japan" we really needed for the characters to be likable right away.

This episode I really enjoyed, I loved seeing a bit more of Shino's sister who seems like a lovely character and I also loved the whole "Love Letter" thing which was funny especially when Aya was stalking Yoko around the place.

It is just nice to have a series that emphasizes the friendships and doesn't need anything else they are just friends and they do things together and enjoy each others company. It is also just funny that they are all awkward in their own way, they are just basically wonderfully rounded characters.

This series is the perfect remedy for a difficult week, it just brightens up your day!
