So we have our first OVA for Nyaruko-san.
Let the fun begin!
***SPOILERS***
Kuuko and Nyaruko are watching TV...Well they all are but Kuuko and Nyaruko are sat with their faces pushed to the screen near enough. The guy on the show transforms which seems to excite both of them...
Anyway lovely to see the old title sequence back for the OVA, really enjoy this version of it.
Still watching the show and now someone else is transforming, now it is magical girls...
Mahiro wishes that Nyaruko could kill things like the magical girls instead of the gory way she does. She goes into kiss him and gets a slap on the head for her troubles. He asks if she likes the magical girl transformation so Mahiro decides she will become a magical girl...... OK Mahiro.
THEY GO TO LUHY to turn Nyaruko into a magical girl. They remind her of the show they inturrepted in series 1... Nyaruko is mean to Luhy which angers Luhy who turns everything to ice. How dare she say that Luhy is in her 30s.
Luhy decides to help to correct her personality and takes them to hyperbolic time... Something.
The training will last for an hour in the real world but will last a month in this new world. Everyone leaves them to it, Luhy is brilliant, why isn't she in every single episode?
Two hours later for everyone else and out comes Nyaruko with a magical girl personality. The training it seems didn't go well so everyone goes to have a look at what happened. Nyaruko is standing in front of a load of Nightgaunts and turns into a magical girl.
She pulls her crowbar out from her skirt..... Instead of attacking them and killing them she sends magic sparkles over them which makes them cough out blood. Yeah Nyaruko is pretty much as crazy as before. Luhy has breed the strongest but most evil magical girl.
It wouldn't be Nyaruko without stealing something from something else.... Men in Black style this time. Erase her memory and she wakes up at home normal.
What a fun little episode for Nyaruko!
I actually really liked the magical girl Nyaruko it was even more badass then before!
There isn't much to say about it. It fits in perfectly to the series unlike Fairy Tails, it was just another story that can slot in between any we've had before. The characters were normal and because it was so short it never felt too much of anything.
Really if you like Nyaruko-san please watch it, it is only 14 minutes long with both beginning and end credits and their normal half way mark artwork so its about 10 minutes long but it is one of the best stories told in the series. Maybe because it is so short so all the eccentric and stupid bits were left out.
Plus it had Luhy in it, what more could you ask for?
OK it also had Kuuko dressed up like a member of the MiB now there really IS nothing else you could ask for!
