Chapter 109
We now know that the Kishin like Kid is a fragment of the Shinigami, and Soul knows the only way to defeat the Kishin is with black blood.
Will Soul let his demons play?
***SPOILERS***
We start with little demon guy (does he have a name?) trying to entice Soul, showing Soul his piano and telling him how lonely it must feel too.
Soul does step into the room and sits at his piano.
Back in the real world the Kishin is way too powerful for Maka, Black Star and Kid, he takes them all out with one blow (well one blow each). It seems like an impossible task to deal with, the demon is urging Soul to start playing else they will all die.
Then again Kid voices his fear. If he lets the full power of the Shinigami out (connects all three of his lines) will he be just like the Kishin? After all if they are brothers, both fragments, then surely they'll turn out the same.
As Soul starts his Soul Resonance Maka speaks up, and speaks the truth.
The Kishin is full of fear, he thinks of humans and witches as scum. Kid is full of kindness and believes in people right till the end. Kid will never be like the Kishin, just because they both deal in death doesn't mean they are the same.
And with Soul Resonance and the his friends being able to land a few punches (and not giving up on the fight or him) on the Kishin, Kid finally connects his last line...
Next episode Kid is a full Shinigami!
It is seriously looking like it'll be the end of this story very soon now, I fear that they might make Kid the new Shinigami and I don't want that. But at the same time man I can't wait to see how cool Kid is when he finally has all three lines connected!
So this issue?
I loved how they all come together to help Kid get to his full potential, the only fear that kid has is the normal kind, he's a kind person and he should be more like the Shinigami then the Kishin. He doesn't believe in the madness no matter what the Kishin thinks. Just because the Kishin went down that path doesn't mean Kid will also go down that path.
The whole thing with Soul seemed to not really be needed, it was being played up to be the big turning point but to be honest all we'd need was to see him enter the room, he didn't really need to be asked by the demon and to be fair when the demon kept going on to him to play he was getting ready to do so, to be honest it was all a bit out of place.
The chapter has left it on a nice juicy cliffhanger though! I can't wait to see Kid next chapter!
The Kishin looks so powerful though I can't see him being defeated that easily, I'd like him to go into hiding or else to be "locked" up again. I'm still holding out for a flashback story on the Kishin and how he ended up the way he is to be honest. See how his path lead to the creation of Kid and maybe see how Kid was actually totally different to the Kishin. We know he is because its important for the story for him to be different. It would be nice to see were the Kishin went wrong.
Not only this but is there any chance to get Crona back? I can't remember if they have got him back or if its impossible. To be honest that is the one bad thing about the series, because its monthly there are some plot points I totally forget, last I remember he had absorbed the Kishin but then the Kishin took over... So can we get Crona back please? I do like Crona!
I'm all excited for the next chapter now! And I still think Excalibur is up to something even though he wasn't even in this chapter, in fact he was shifty for the fact he wasn't talking a load of baloney this chapter! Where is he?! Well probably still with Shinigami it isn't like we saw much of him this chapter either.
