Chapter 320
Last week saw the conclusion of Gajeel v Rogue and left us the question of what is the Princess up to? And what is Arcadios about to do?
***SPOILERS***
This week starts with a quick flash on whats happening in all the fights still involving Fairy Tail members in the tournament (I think these are the only ones left anyway!)
Juvia and Gray are doing their thing against Lyon/Sheria, Gray has just found their weakness (not gelling as a team) are we about to see them officially use a unison raid in the manga?
(For anyone that doesn't know in one of the filler arcs in the anime Juvia and Gray use a unison raid, yet to do it in the manga!)
Erza is getting beat up by Minerva, who is the worlds biggest bitch!
And then we stay focused on Laxus/Jura/Ogra.
Groan says my readers! Laxus says I!
I thought that we possibly wouldn't get a proper fight because it was a three way fight, thankfully Jura the cool son of a bitch takes care of Ogra in seconds! Leaving us a tantalizing battle next week of Jura v Laxus.
It looks like Jura has an easy fight, but out of no where Laxus lands a hit, and that was the end of the manga.
Now there wasn't too much to this weeks chapter, but that doesn't stop it being a good one.
It asks a lot of questions. Mainly HOW are Fairy Tail going to get out of the predicaments It gives us a hint of were the fights are going before giving us the hint of what is to come next week.
And what a fight it looks to be!
There was also one little taster thrown in for people as well. Since Makarov and his brats disappeared for 7 years Jura, who was the weakest of the 10 Wizard Saints has moved up to rank number 5. But Lamia Scales Master tells us the interesting fact that the, what she calls, 4 Gods of Ishval aren't human (I believe she means like the way people say Erza isn't human.) With a cool silhouette it leaves me wishing and hoping for them in the next arc (or maybe to save everyone from the Dragons!)
As I said other then that insight into Jura, who is deadly cool! and a look at all the matches including the exit of Ogra from the tournament, nothing really happened.
But it has left me excited for next week!
The questions are all mounting up...
What is Eclipse?
Why is the Princess lying?
How are both Fairy Tail Teams going to win?
What are the circumstances the Princess is waiting for?
What was that shadow?
Who are the 4 Gods of Ishval?
What are Raven Tail going to do next?
Why hasn't Toby got his own TV show yet?
....
Incidentally thinking about the whole story/plot so far it feels like a Steven Moffat type thing! I think a Grand Time Lord Games is due for the 50th anniversary! Has nothing to do with Fairy Tail but it did remind me of his style of ask a lot of questions and when you think you'll get an answer ask a load more... And I LOVE it!
