DANGANRONPA : The Animation : Neon Genesis Super Cortex Redux! Rise, Armored Hero! (Not) Normal Arc

Episode 6

So more students down, another trial successful and quite a heartbreaking story! Back to trying to figure out how to survive until someone else drops!

And yes it has a super long name for the episode (and next weeks I guess as they are usually the same!)

***SPOILERS***

So the swimmer is in bed crying and goes to eat donuts... On her way she finds something creepy.

So back to the original opening credits? Not that I'm complaining they are still cool I just wonder why we had a different one for the last two episodes unless they rotate between the two.

Ishimaru hasn't said a word since last episode, don't blame him poor thing!

Monobear/Monokuma brings them to the gym.

Ten million yen to whoever wins, so I guess it is everyone gets killed if they guess wrongly?

So swimmer girl thought she saw Fujisaki's ghost in the baths. So it seems the locker room had a laptop hidden in it and it is the perfect place to hide something because it has no surveillance cameras. The laptop turns on and Fujisaki's head pops up looking for "Master". So Fujisaki had programmed the AI to look into the files on that laptop. The AI asks where Master is, of course Master is Fujisaki so they tell the AI what happened, but before anything else happens Ishimaru asks the AI whether she hates Brother.

Oh my goodness, Ishimaru made me cry. He blames himself for not being able to stop Ohwada so the AI uses the information that Fujisaki entered about Ohwada to make a last message to Ishimaru who takes it to heart and goes all rage like. Turns out that Ohwada, Fujisaki and funnily enough Junko must have known each other as a photo of the three of them turns up in one of the files that the AI has finished cracking.

Now how is it so strange they might have known each other? After all Naegi and Maziono knew each other!

Yamada has been talking to the AI all night, seems he's in love with the AI. Plus now Ishimaru has gone crazy. So Yamada or Ishimaru (or it's friggin' me) are going to die next?

Hagakure, man I love him! They obviously can't make a big deal out of going to the bathroom so he's been sent to Naegi to make out he wants to have a bath with him. YES it is that funny! Turns out that the laptop has been stolen. Yamada thinks its Ishimaru but it can't be either of the two as AI was set to scream when they came close. We are calling her Alter Ego?

So only the four most basically good characters make it to breakfast the next morning so they all go looking for the missing students.

First off they find Cele knocked out with a hammer. It has "Justice Hammer #1" written on it. She tells them it was a stranger and that he's taken Yamada. They bump into Togami and his pet psycho walking in the corridor and soon find Yamada with blood over his face after being hit with "Justice Hammer #2". Cele then shows them a photo of "Justice Robo" who looks a bit like Optimus Prime to be honest.

Yamada goes to sit down in the nurses office... Big mistake, whilst trying to figure out where the others are Cele glimpses the stranger going to the Physic's lab and suddenly a loud scream makes Naegi run to the nurses office to find Yamada dead. He then goes to find Togami who went to apprehand the suspect and finds him peering over Ishimaru's dead body. Yamada had been found with "Justice Hammer #3" and Ishimaru with "Justice Hammer #4".

The confusion carries on as they run back to the nurses office and find Asahina (Swimmer) in an empty room as Yamada's body was stolen, back in the store room and Ishimaru's body has gone too. Other than the two missing bodies we are also missing Hagakure who hasn't been seen (so number one suspect!) and Kirigiri who was at breakfast but not seen after they split up.

The search is then on for the two missing bodies (not the two missing students, mainly because they are now on a timer to get to the trial), now that is pretty funny especially as Togami is bossing Naegi and his pet psycho around. The bodies are found and Yamada gives them a name, Hagakure's name if I'm not mistaken, he also says he has met everyone before....

To be continued...

Now I had a big thing about the body count to begin with. This small episode part is going to see at least two students dead.... No at least THREE students dead.

We are on episode 6, there has to be what at least another... 5 episodes? We'll run out of students in about two more episodes at this rate!

In all honesty this is pretty much my least favorite episode so far, it started off so well but the whole "Justice Robo" and running about confused.... Just no.

To be honest there is at least three suspects, Togami could have done it what with him not being around when Cele was attacked, Yamada maybe not but Ishimaru he could have killed too. Hagakure is the one that is obviously going to be blamed but I'm not sure it will be that simple, I mean it can't be can it? There just seems no reason for those two to be killed like there was for the other two. I just... It was a bit of a rush around to be honest.

And when will we find out what happened to the AI?! I was hoping that we would get the episode looking at Alter Ego to give us a little breather, obviously not.

Is Justice Robo the student we haven't seen yet?!

At least we now know there is a background to all this, another mystery behind just the murdering and all that. This makes me a very happy person! I was hoping we'd get to know WHY this was happening and it looks like we will.

We are slowly getting to the point where only the real honest students will be standing, I'm guessing we'll learn they aren't that nice, or else they'll be killed by Togami.

For this murder... well Hagakure is just too obvious, it just smells of a set up, I loved the other two because it came out of left field. If it turns out to be Hagakure it will be just boring.

We all can see that Genocide wants to kill Togami for being cute, I quite like how she lurks about him and he just doesn't care at all.

I think other than one or two characters we are left with some interesting people, though I did love Ishimaru and he made me cry last week and this week. Not happy he's gone. Not happy at all!

Th episode was alright, I mean it was meant to be confusing but I don't think it worked. I liked the format for the other two murders, though I don't think money would have convinced any of them to kill to be honest. Hoping the trial will make up for it!

And I still ADORE the photo at the end where slowly we're adding more and more people to it as each character dies.

It makes me wonder whether they are all already dead or something....
