Fairy Tail : Tartaros Prologue

Chapter 356

So. Lets not talk about last week hey?!

The next arc is about to start and it feels like we'll need to stick together to defeat our worst enemy yet!

***SPOILERS***

Tartaros Headquaters... One of the nine demon gates...

Apparently all the gates are now open!

So we are back to the parliament of magic in Era and apparently they still dislike Fairy Tail. Really? They ponder whether or not to stop the Grand Magic Games but know it'll be hard to do so.

Gran Doma, the chairman, reminds them the topic of conversation is Tartaros... The guilds affiliated with Tartaros have been wiped out, they don't know why (I think we do!) but it is a worry. The only one that knows (kind of) what is happening is laughed at! Poor Org-Roshi! Just as Gran Doma is telling them they must act the building is attacking.... No Lahar can't be dead! In fact other then Doranbolt everyone is dead!

The assassin is Jackal, one of the Nine Demon Gates of Tartaros.

Fairy Tail is back to normal. Juvia is being creepy at Gray, we learn about Sting becoming acting master of Sabre and Levy is looking up E.N.D. We learn that the most possible way things work is that there is one book per Zeref Demon and possessing the book allows you to summon said demon.

Doranbolt goes to Cobra for information and we get the most scary (if not anticipated) news.....

All Nine of the Demons Gates are the Demons of Zeref's book. They don't POSSESS E.N.D their MASTER is E.N.D.... And they are on the move! (Quick note to say that Cobra won't give any more information unless the rest of his Guild mates are released, as you can kind of guess.)

This... This is what I've always loved about Fairy Tail.

It made me angry, sad, laugh, cry, jump with joy, giggle some more then want to hide in a corner and forget life happened.

Then I fangirled over Cobra... AGAIN... For some strange reason even though I've never really liked the character!

And I cried and had to stop reading for 5 minutes after Lahar died. I mean Lahar! LAHAR!

We have the Nine Demon's, we have a revived Fairy Tail and we have a dead council. So far each and every member of Tartaros we've come face to face have been super awesome and pretty special in their own rights.

I can not wait to see how they play against Fairy Tail. Come on there has to be a Laxus on the loose at some point in the future! And it'll bring out the best in some of the guys, I really can't wait to see how it plays out!

It really feels that Fairy Tail has its mojo back, yeah I felt the last arc kind of dragged and the last filler fizzled out a tiny bit as well but it was more a set up and if this carries on the way everything before the Grand Magic Games played out we are in for a WONDERFUL few months!

The different locations in this chapter were beautiful though and it helped make it feel bigger. The grand castles/palaces/guild halls whatever, it just made the world feel big, the players feel grand and the danger feel more. I mean the freakin' council has just been wiped out by one of Zeref's Demons for goodness sake!

Now I guess the only thing we need to know is where does Zeref himself fit in?

A brilliant chapter wonderfully drawn and wonderfully written.

Now lets please have a minutes silence for the members of the council (senate, parliament whatever you want to call it) who died today.

Especially Lahar.
