So as you can see I haven't blogged much recently.
This is because we still don't have a Assistant Manager at work so I am STILL working overtime.
This coupled with the fact that I am still heartbroken that the anime of Fairy Tail is ending at the end of the month has left me feeling like I don't really want to watch the episodes, drag them on forever and it never really got cancelled.
But don't worry I'll try and catch up this week! I'll have a bumper FT Anime blog to make up for the missing episodes as well as the manga review which should be up before I go bed tonight.
Plus the F1 season has just started, just off to catch up on the race on iPlayer and there will be a blog about that too!
And I will be writing a blog on something that means a lot to me as well.

Fairy Tail : Laxus v Jura (Manga)

So last week we were gearing up for the fight between one of the 10 wizard saints Jura, and Fairy Tails strongest Mage Laxus.
Who will win in the battle of strength?

Jules Bianchi in F1!
So if people don't know I am a huge fan of Jules Bianchi and have been for a few years now. During the last test before the season starts it was announced that Bianchi would replace Liuz Razia at Marussia after Razia's sponsors failed to pay up in time.
My opinion?
Well obviously I am very happy for Jules to be given this chance. And again it is obvious I feel sorry for Razia. But I do believe some of the hoohaa by fans have been overblown.
For a start Razia himself was a pay driver, hence being let go because his sponsors didn't pay, so why people are saying Bianchi out bid Razia for the seat I don't know. The only big thing Jules brings with him is a possible Ferrari deal, Ferrari don't tend to have useless drivers in their ranks and Jules has worked in their development scheme for ages.
Personally I don't know much about Razia so I can't say I'm that upset that the driver I support (who I believe deserved the Force India drive more than Adrian Sutil) replaced him. No one can deny that Jules is a solid driver who has just as much potential as any other driver.
I think people are too quick to shout off about pay drivers nowadays, its the new flashy word. They act like pay drivers never existed. Unfortunately pay drivers (and back markers) have always existed and will always exist. And back marker teams like Marussia are always going to use them. Heck it isn't even F1 that pay drivers exist, I've used the example of GP2 and Adam Carroll before. He could never really afford a full GP2 season but when he could afford or was used as a replacement for a few races he was always up on the podium or there abouts even if before then the team looked like a dog!
So I do feel for Razia, of course I do! So close yet so far away. Heartbreaking!
But as a fan of Jules I have to say I'm now more excited then ever!

Keeping Busy
I'm so sorry I haven't been on over the week, at the moment we are very short staffed at work so now I'm working every hour under the sun.
I should be back this week with my reviews on the Fairy Tail manga and anime, though after I've finished watching it there should be a review on Broadchurch the new ITV drama written by Chris Chibnall.
And there will probably be another 50th anniversary Doctor Who rant to boot!

Funny how it changes?
So me and my friend were talking about what we'd do differently if we could go back in time with all our memories of what happens next in tact, as you do.
At first I really thought I'd like to have focused on getting into a Library job, did work experience in a Library, go on to do an apprenticeship in it, or at least do the subjects I was really interested in instead of ones I thought I would be in Sixth Form.
But you know what?
As much as I complain about my job, as much as I have to deal with weirdo customers, stupid volunteers and annoying drivers, I wouldn't really give up the experience for anything!
For all the negatives there have been so many positives it is unbelievable.
I might have been happier, I might have more money, I might have been able to move out by now! But I wouldn't have had the 3 (nearly 4) years of laughs, or probably have dated my Squiggle.
So if I could change anything it would only be superficial small things!

So last week ended with Cheria* getting up from Wendy's toughest move. What will happen next in the match against the air Dragon Slayer and air God Slayer?
*Just so you know the manga translation I read AND the anime translation both spell this different. One spells it Shelia, the other Cheria. I looked it up on Fairy Tail wiki and they spell it Chelia. I'm calling her Cheria as that is what the translated anime called her. If anyone can tell me the correct translation I'd be grateful!

Tagging my Photo Edits
A bit like my spoiler post explaining why I put spoiler in front of reviews...
Someone moaned at me "why do you always put your name on your photos? Anyone could take that exact picture it isn't that special?"
Well actually yes, yes it is. If somebody else took that picture then it would be theirs. The fact is no two photos are the same so yes millions of people could take a picture of the same building I do and go home and edit it in a million different ways, you'll still have a million different photos of the same thing!
Plus I take time and effort to go out take the photo then edit them. Why wouldn't I put my name on them?

Doctor Who Missing Episode Hoax
I'll start this blog saying I won't say the name of the hoaxer, its easy to find out who he is, but I refuse to name him for many reasons.
As anyone who gets into Doctor Who will find out there are many (over 100) missing Doctor Who episodes. A great big chunk of them being Patrick Troughton episodes. Over the years there has been a trickle of a few missing episodes being found, they were taped over or thrown away back in the day because that is what the BBC did (for pedants if you know the reasons in detail I don't need to tell you, if you don't know the details then you can look, this blog is about the hoax not why we have missing episodes.)
So a few weeks ago I became aware of this hoaxer who was offering money for information on Doctor Who episodes. Not long after making the offer, even though he only made it on his blog, twitter and a few fan sites he's managed to find what he calls a "hoarder" who has a few missing episodes. Since he "found" these episodes he's been going on about private screenings and finding more episodes...
Now this all sounds exciting and believable right?
Well scratch the surface and you'll find the real reason he's "found" these episodes. To make money himself.
He "uploaded" the episodes AND a animated episode he'd funded (or worked on or something) onto a porn site. Apparently for everyone who signed up to Sexkey to see these missing episode he'd get paid. He probably gets paid for the hits to his site as well. Oh and surprisingly a lot of people who joined said there was no episodes up there. There was also a screen shot which the hoaxer then claimed to be fake. Of course other faceless people on his blog claimed they HAVE seen the episodes, so without signing up yourself you'd never know if it was true...
All the man does is spam his blog posts, the same posts time and time again.
And even though his intention of finding missing episodes will bring people in, the rest of his blogs are just hate filled rantings about certain members (and a supposed hierarchy of Who fans and "sock puppets") and promoting of "Time Girl Kate" who is basically a porn star.
After a "screening" of the missing episodes his second "faze" was to offer to pay people to promote his website. So nothing at all to do with caring about the missing episodes, more to do with promoting him.
Of course you are welcome to believe him.
I think the hoax works to a point because everyone has a hope these episodes will be found. And as all fandoms Who does have those fans who are well known and have that kind of negative reputation. But that is were I believe the hoax believableness ends.
At the end of the day he has given no proof, if you question him he either asks if you want to go to a private screening (before asking you to find a place to have the screening) or else calls you a troll or a sock puppet.
Believe him or not please don't enter a hate war with him, there are blogs/twitter pages trying to prove him wrong and that is all there needs to be. If you do believe him please remember it is hardly worth joining places like Sexkey, only join if you really REALLY have to (that is if he says he puts them back up behind something like Sexkey.)
One way or the other just stay safe.

So I've finally lost my temper with the whole pay driver boohoo interviews. It has taken a while for me to really lose my temper but now I feel like I want to scream my opinion at everyone whether they like F1 or not!
***DISCLAIMER : I mean no offence to people who agree with the fact that "pay drivers" are killing the sport, I also do not disrespect that view from drivers. This is just an alternative view on the subject!***

Fairy Tail : My Irrational Love of Fro and Rogue!
So if you read my Fairy Tail reviews you'll know that I do love Fro and Rogue. They both manage to make me want to cry most of the time they are on screen/together in the manga.
Why do I love them?
Cuteness for a start!
At first Fro was really annoying, and I didn't really like Rogue and Sting (and Lector till the end annoyed me, no doubt he'll be back but he did annoy me.)
But when the games started and the nastiness of Sabretooth became apparent both Rogue and Frosch became wonderful characters.
For me its like Rogue and Sting tried so hard to be like Natsu and Gajeel, when they disappeared (and heard that they were killed by a Dragon) their dreams were destroyed so they became hard to the world around them. Their team was all that mattered. They wanted to prove they were powerful maybe out of fright. Like Natsu and Gajeel, they were trained to kill Dragons, unlike Natsu and Gajeel they killed a Dragon and then followed Second Generation Dragon Slayers and implanted lycrimas into themselves.
It all seems to stem from a belief they had to be ready, if their heroes could be so easily killed, thus crushing their hero worship as children (young people, however old they were) they needed to be even stronger.
Sting seems much more hard headed, plus with Lectors death he's all over the place.
Rogue seems to have listened to what Natsu has to say and seems more open to his idea of a guild, even though at first it looks like he isn't listening at all.
Were it really stands out that Rogue really has got something going on is the relationship with Fro, at least Lector was a standard Exceed, Fro is like a baby and Rogue loves him so much. They'd both give up their lives for each other.
Just a simple emotional back and forth between these two characters brings tears to my eyes, and even though I love Natsu/Happy, Gajeel/Lily and Wendy/Carla I think these two have the biggest impact.
Fro is extremely annoying in the anime, but the moment the big "I won't let anything happen to you" speech came about I wanted to cry and hug him!
So the answer to it is this...
From the start I wanted to join a Guild.
I wanted to be friends with everyone in Fairy Tail.
I wanted to mingle with Blue Pegasus.
I've imagined what magic ability I would have...
Wondered if I could hold myself in a drinking contest with Cana...
Dreamed of a meeting with me and Laxus...
But I've never wanted to just hug the life out of two characters and protect them like I've wanted to with Rogue and Fro.
Yeah I want to hug characters and I'd give my life up for them. If they were real they'd be my friends. But Rogue is the first person I would have fought for even if it meant turning my back on Fairy Tail.
I didn't say this post was meant to be based in reality.
