So Onoda is making friends all around the place without even knowing it. Will his dream to reopen the anime group come to fruition or will he find a new dream?

***SPOILERS***

So he wants the race on the super slope up hill. Onoda panics like nobodies business thinking that he's after something, all Grumpy wants is to prove that he can beat him as he seems to have had a bad experience being beaten by someone uphill. Finally he decides to join the anime group ONLY IF Onoda beats him in their race, Onoda does over react but it is cute!

GRUMPYS NAME IS IMAIZUMI!!! I now know who he is but I think I prefer Grumpy to Imaizumi....

Anyway him and Miki seem to be childhood friends, and she finds out about the race. She goes home and tells her brother about it (her family run a bicycle shop and her brother used to be Captain of the bicycle team) who seems shocked at the questions about Mommy bikes.

Next day and Miki has told everyone, they have spectators who have basically come to perv on Imaizumi, and Onoda gets all nervous, Miki tries to build his confidence but it makes him more nervous poor thing!

So Onoda gets to the bottom of the slope in 10 minutes and starts to worry about Imaizum miscalculating how much of a handicap he's given him (he gave him 15 minutes) but he doesn't realize that on his sports bike Imaizum is about 20 times faster then him and he makes it to the slope in what would seem like record time to Onoda.

Half way up the hill and Miki and the entourage show up in Miki's brothers van, Imaizum has already passed Onoda but Miki won't let him give up, she raises his saddle and he suddenly goes a lot faster.

IT might be too late for the race though! But we'll find that out next episode.

The race has been really fun, just like Free! I've learnt so much about cycling that I just never thought of before.

In a way I want Onoda to win, he is a lovely character, the fact he thought he was speeding through the race and was the same speed as what actually was a very slow scooter... He is just a great character and in a way I'd have loved this to be about the anime group because he's put so much passion into that, no one so far has put any passion into the actual cycling team, though both have a love for their bikes. It is a hard one mainly because I know that he WANTS the anime group to come alive, I know that in the end the cycling team will give him as much love as the anime group would have if he got it off the ground but yeah...

The characters still are wonderful, I love how much of a nerd Miki is and unlike Go/Ko in Free! she actually genuinely adores the BIKES, she isn't like the other girls who are fangirling over Imaizum she's gone all nerdified over the bikes themselves. She also actually naturally is able to help Onoda when she see's a problem in his riding which is fun.

I don't particularly like her friend who is just needlessly mean and nasty, but hey ho!

The racing scenes are quite fun too it hasn't bored me watching them cycle which would have always been a problem, it is a really well put together anime.

The story is really interesting so far, it grips you right from the beginning and I can't wait to see what happens in the next episode!

I'm starting to feel Onoda and Imaizum have a lot more in common then they know!
