Chapter 353
It feels like years since I last wrote a blog on Fairy Tail, my bad! Nothing to do with the quality of the story so far I've just been stupidly busy and or absent minded (to the point most Fridays I seem to forget its Friday and therefore Fairy Tail day!)
Last time out we were reintroduced to Atlas Flame, an old friend.
What does he want?
****SPOILERS***
It seems that the ice has damaged Atlas Flames memories and he's just a little confused.
Turns out the village was frozen over by one man, "An exorcist mage, A Devil Slayer."
Really? Another type of slayer?!
Anyway after Flare pleads for Atlas to save the village his memories come back and he is moved to help his village, the village he created and leaves a message for our friends.
"400 years ago... Igneel was unable to destroy E.N.D..." the most vile magic from the book of Zeref apparently.
By saving the village (and waking up the amazing looking giants) Atlas Flame is gone. Minerva skedaddles as only bullies will and it seems as sad as a second goodbye to Atlas Flame is the day has been saved.
Meanwhile we get our first introduction to Tartarus Kyuukimon Absolute Zero's Lord Silver the Devil Slayer who consume's the souls of Demons.
Well.... It can't be said that it wasn't interesting now can it!
I really feel for Atlas Flame, he used all that remained of him to save his village after being iced by this Devil Slayer. Well at least the giants are back.
Flare has really grown on me in this arc and I'm really sad for her seeing her cry when the Flame leaves but she must be happy her village is back.
As for Minerva... GRRRRRRRRR! Why couldn't she have been stood on? I can't stand that character and the faster she gets her whats come to her the better in my opinion!
I liked the chapter, a nice ending if a little abrut to trying to melt the ice, maybe it would have been better if we'd still been talking to Atlas by the end of the chapter but it didn't really ruin anything. We now have two big questions, Who is Lord Silver and what is E.N.D?
As for Devil Slayer........
I mean Dragons Slayers were cool, God Slayers went nowhere and now we have Devil Slayers who are really Demon Slayers. Too much of a good thing, attaching Slayer to the end of the magic type seems to mean they are going to be pretty powerful...... Yeah alright.
I'll believe it when I see it to be frank.
All in all though a really good chapter and can't wait to see if we get to actually come face to face properly with a giant or two!
