DANGANRONPA : The Animation : How the Super High School Level Unlucky Student Bewitched the Super High School Level Murder, the Super High School Level Execution and the Super High School Level Despair

Episode 12

Well what else can I say?

The true solution arc of the school life of mutual killings begins now.

(And what a lovely long title we have this week!)

***SPOILERS***

So all the doors in the school have now been unlocked. Monokuma is giving them permission to check every floor and every room. Dorms on the second floor have been totally destroyed, and they get to visit the principals room.

So the principal (who is Kirigiri's father don't forget) is hiding something on his computer behind a password and it turns out that Naegi figures it out. Inside the hidden room they find the principals remains in a nicely wrapped box. Kirigiri isn't surprised at the fact.

In the box Naegi finds the principals handbook, and also a memory card on the back of a photo that Kirigiri puts down. On the memory card is the students meeting the principal, he tells each one "you might have to spend the rest of your life within the confines of this school"  and each of them replies that they are alright with this. When they get to the girl who got killed by touching Monokuma shows up on the screen Monobear himself shows up and unplugs the computer. Afterwards Kirigiri asks to be left alone so Naegi leaves.

Togami is in the principals office looking at student records and we finally get to see the face of Ikusaba Mukuro the High School Despair. She was actually the Super Duper High School Solider. Monokuma tries to sneak up on him but fails, he leaves a piece of paper behind him.

Naegi is on the second floor locker room and gets into one of the lockers with the principals handheld, ends up being Hagakure's locker. It also has notes from a class, the second one he opens has a note book with the note "This is a plan to turn Hope's Peak Academy into a shelter for the students to live in together. I have decided to directly question the one who proposed this plan, my father, the principal of Hope's Peak Academy." Obviously that is Kirigiri's locker then. "Despairs are among us. There are two of them. Its why we survived." what does that mean? Who are the two Despairs?

Naegi runs to the principals room to see her but she seems to have gone.

Next up he goes to the Biolab and finds Genocider passed out, well Fukawa passed out and Genocider wakes up. In the Biolab there seems to be a morgue, there are nine units in the biolab/morgue. Monokuma shows up and leaves Naegi a "clue" a school photo that has everyone including Ikusaba.... But not him. It seems everyone has been left a photo.

Monokuma will be part of the trial, if they figure out who killed the High School Despair and the mystery of the school they'll be able to leave. If Monobear loses he'll be executed.

Naegi seems to have figured out that the photo's are a trap, each one was left with a photo that showed all the other students but not the one he left them for. The key word that Naegi has picked up on is "remember" and it seems for a change he IS going to work something out for himself!

Amnesia!

Naegi brings out the memory card to show how they all agreed to stay in the school but couldn't remember. Monobear tells them that they are suffering from amnesia.

Turns out the body that Genocider thought was the High School Despair was actually exactly the same as Enoshima's stab wounds so Ikusaba Mukuro wasn't the body in the botanical gardens.... Turns out that Kirigiri's hands are all burnt up from when she started being a detective which kind of clears that she is the mastermind.

Naegi says its Junko!

Apparently Monokuma has been hiding Junko's face because she isn't the girl that they met, her and Mukuro had switched places right from the beginning. They were twins....

Wow, just wow...... Brilliant!

Thankfully we got an explanation on the Despair! It was pretty annoying thinking we might never even get to see the face but now I'm happy!

So all along it has been Junko, and its been Junko because she didn't actually die! No it was Mukuro who died, who just so happened to be Junko's twin.

I still feel the series went too fast, it could have done with more episodes and getting to know them better but man is it finishing on a high note! Can't wait for next week.

I liked seeing them investigate, I wish there were a few more clues along the way but I'm happy with what we got, it is also nice to see that there is a possibility that more than one person is going to get out alive, can't wait to see how they solve the mystery.

I'd like to know why Junko and Mukuro were High School Despairs though, that is really intriguing.

I really enjoyed the episode, I'm guessing that is the last we'll see of Monobear? Unfortunate as I quite enjoyed her alter ego of the bear, especially all the bear puns, oh how I laughed!

It was nice just to get to investigate with them, but it also proved that a episode of characters just talking through things isn't boring, I could sit here and watch that all again so easily. I really enjoyed all the information and I hope it ties it off completely next week because it'll be a pain if we don't get all the information I crave to know!

I actually love all the surviving characters, and to be honest seeing the others in the photos made me really sad, specially Oogami who I feel was the nicest of all characters and deserved to survive. I'm still pretty much heart broken over that.

I mean it was one of the first four episodes I think when they were going on about when everyone came down to breakfast and you had the original people who were all law abiding students, I really liked them and find it sad that any of them had to die because they were the ones you could see would never really do anything to hurt the others. I'm surprised that Togami has been such a team player, he is quick to judge but it is nice that he actually wants to get out with the others.

Well let us all hope that this series goes out with a bang next week! Should be a good one!
